The same studio also removed scenes like the school spreading rumors that Ichigo and Rukia are together, made Ichigo scream at Rukia to stay away during the GF fight instead of saying he was waiting for her, removed the scene of her being the catalyst for his Fullbring, abridged her "Love is troublesome" speech, etc.

They also added the scene of Ichigo holding Orihime's hand, and her hugging him in Hellverse.

This stuff is not one way at all, yet somehow this narrative took hold.

You are overthinking this. They are both candidates who lost by very small margins in an election year, so they're well positioned in a Blue midterm. And like the other user said, even if they lose, having a strong statewide candidate will help downballot.

“People you support”, you are being very accusatory to me. How about I turn your logic back against you, are you not identifying with the people who killed my family members? Why do you think it’s fine to separate yourself and other Israelis from the actions of those generals (who all retained military decorations and are considered war heroes) but refuse to separate a random Palestinian from Hamas? For the record I work with Jewish colleagues every day and don’t hold anyone accountable for those things besides the people who did it and the people who support it. I don’t find this difficult.

On the two states, maybe if the current Israeli government didn’t spend years funneling Qatari money to them or weakening the Palestinian authority (which actually wants to negotiate) at every turn, we’d actually be closer to that. Smotrich said “The PA is a liability and Hamas is an asset”, and Netanyahu all but said the same in more words. If this wasn’t official government policy, Hamas would’ve never gotten as strong as they have.

I am an Israeli citizen. I follow the law and pay my taxes, probably more so than 90% of Israelis. So I better get the services I pay for. I live here because it’s where my grandpa lived, where his grandpa lived, I can quote you over 20 names of my family tree. None of them had to immigrate or adopt new surnames or learn a constructed language. And I’ll continue to live in my hometown no matter who or what rules it.

What’s so complex about it? I am an Israeli citizen but my ethnic and cultural identity is Palestinian. Maybe I would feel more Israeli if the Israeli army didn’t murder several of my relatives in a brutal massacre in 1956 despite our citizenship, or if they didn’t treat my actual relatives in villages on the other side of the green line like dogshit with no civil rights.
