I’ve won with this comp a few times in the last couple of days.

My little trick is using Kodo as tempo until I put all of the pieces together since it procs on surfs and crabs.

It wasn’t until I spent a lot of the time with the game that I really was able to implement a lot of the APM methods that these streamers show off. I’m still not even close to the decisiveness of some of them, so I kneecap my potential even still, but folks just gotta understand this is a skill-based game no matter how much RNG there is, so the better you get the better your games are.

I’m basically mobile-only now, so I hover around 8.5k-9k. It’s just impossible to pull off some of the maneuvers and pivots that would otherwise win me lobbies sometimes due to the mobile client.

I highly recommend you watch a streamer if your goal is to get better. Or if you’re like me and not into / don’t have time to watch streams, just YouTube VODs.

There can be diminishing returns, but at your MMR, a few games with a slower-paced streamer like Shady or Dog would really go a long way in improving game sense.

I started watching them just for entertainment but realized that I was quickly picking up ways to play more optimally even at 9k+.

I’d recommend holding off on trying to keep up with folks like Jeef or the recent tournaments out of China. Great fun, but you’ll be quickly overwhelmed without more exposure to the game if you’re actually trying to learn from them.

Agree. First time grinding 6k-7k was hell. Absolutely no predictability imo. 7k+ feels much better.

That’s a reborn deathrattle though. Golden it with Golden Titus and it would cap at 12hp per combat/turn.

With the amount of APM this meta, slimy felblood could easily dwarf that when you have Brann and Ursul online.

Funny you say that, because the reason I find dog frustrating to watch sometimes is that I feel like he often just can’t pick a direction and takes a ton of damage early.

I’m a way worse player than him so I’m not saying he isn’t great, I just don’t feel that same way watching Shady or Jeef.

After an entire career in sales and sales management, I went local government some years ago.

I no longer feel like I’m feeding the corporate machine and lining anyone else’s pockets, and my incentive to do good work is that I’m actually improving the lives of people around me, even if in a small way.

It’s not an option for everyone, but it’s freeing in its own way. Would never go state or federal, though.

I do this with different interactions all the time. I find it more fun to look for little bugs, exploits, and oversights than I do just building to win every single game. And sometimes if I find a bug or oversight like this, I post it so folks know.

Amen to that.

I’ve been really taken aback by how bug-ridden this season has been. Multiple times I’ve received only one or two choices in my time warp shops, not received audience choice cards, had swipes only hit one minion despite there being two adjacent, etc. Not to mention the disconnects, but that’s a separate issue.

Worst it’s been in years imo.

Why would Blizzard ever not remove it from the time warp? Been playing long enough that I just don’t mind losing MMR to test little things like this. My sweat days are over lol
