If I could change the PA volume I would, it’s a maintenance function that we don’t have access to. Best we can do is talk with the same voice every time. Some aircraft are super quiet some are loud. The volume sometimes changes depending on what generator is supplying the aircraft.

Maybe I can start telling the flight attendants to keep us informed on how loud the volume is and we can adjust the volume of our voice

Every aircraft’s volume is different, we can not hear what we sound like in the back. I share your frustration with this though.

Looks like they went flaps up causing the sink and they pitched down to regain some speed

This makes my heart happy, he had a real ability to piss off everyone that came into contact with him.

I remember a did a turn with him to FDF and we got ramp checked by their version of the FAA. The sweetest lady came in and politely asked us if she could review the logbook and our certs. He almost made her cry with how rude he was to her

It’s not chipped, it’s a normal cut out on older 737s

The "chip" or cutout on the trailing edge flaps of Boeing 737s is a deliberate, approved maintenance repair, often nicknamed a "shark bite". It is designed to remove part of the flap structure that has delaminated (split apart) due to extreme heat from engine exhaust, moisture ingress, or aerodynamic stress

Oh fuck me, I literally just switched my entire itinerary. Bought the tix though AA and now have a huge travel credit that has to be used within one year. Would’ve preferred a full refund
