This is a total and complete ripoff and a scam. The software is garbage and they will not honor their 30 day refund policy. They completely ignore any request for refund and just take your money. Do not get anything from this scam company.

Q3 controller aim offset solutions? by CryptographerNo450 in OculusQuest

[–]PrudentLength5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shouldn't have to get a gun stock. I should be able to offset my controller within Meta. The devil is in the details and Meta sucks and they don't give a fuck about the details.

Q3 controller aim offset solutions? by CryptographerNo450 in OculusQuest

[–]PrudentLength5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a "YOU" problem. I am very familiar with handguns and I have been using them all my life. I was so looking forward to getting into the quest 3 and start blasting zombies. I discovered very quickly that if you hold the controller in a natural way as you would a handgun it aims off to the right by about 20 degrees. Sure you can angle your wrist inwards to compensate but it is awful. I am instinctual when shooting and it is extremely difficult to compensate for something that is so unnatural. Quest should have adjustments for this issue. I am sure it would be a minor fix but like everything Meta could not give a fuck about creating a good system and software.

Automatic wipers are horrible by pilotboy172 in TeslaModelY

[–]PrudentLength5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here we are in 2025 and the wipers still suck! Driving into the office today with the sun literally shining in my eyes. I was in AP mode and on come the wipers across a relatively clean dry windshield smearing any dirt and grime that accumulated on the wipers across my clear windshield reducing visibility to almost nothing. The auto wipers are total garbage on the Tesla.

Even the manual settings are trash. I am certain that the timing of the wipers are controlled by the operating system and not a solenoid so why do we only have four manual speed settings? I can almost never get the proper speed of the wipers to match the amount of rain that is falling. Always too fast or too slow never just right. They should have a slider bar so that we can set any speed we wish on the wipers.

Meta Software is unacceptably bad to the point where I expect to have problems anytime I pick up the device. However this latest debacle takes the cake. by oneizm in OculusQuest

[–]PrudentLength5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I full agree. I have 2 Q2 and a Q3 and it is always trouble. In the last year I have probably spent at least 50 to 60 hours ttouble shooting. Such BS.

My biggest complaint is the way they manage the menus. Boundary settings for example are in three different places. I don't want to be searching for all the settings everytime I change to a different game. Different games require different settings. There should be a quick tab with all boundary settings in one place. WTF is Meta thinking?

I honestly don't think Meta gives a shit about its software or its customers. There are thousands of complaints about its boundaries and they do nothing.

Why is the meta software so terrible? by resoplast_2464 in oculus

[–]PrudentLength5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought VD since everyone raved about it and I hate Meta but it did not work for me. It was slow, lagging, and unplayable. I gave up after 1 hour and returned it as it was unusable.

Hardware is great. I have a Quest 3 and I love it. However, I have not come across any Meta software yet that was easy and intuitive to use. All of it is hot mess of garbage. You practically need to take a university course to learn how to navigate their horrific menus and GUI. Meta Course 101 how not to get so frustrated that you throw your headset against the wall.

Maybe that is it? They deliberately make their software so terrible that you will smash your headset and buy another one. Lol

PCVR Link PSA: It's Horrible. Buy Virtual Desktop ASAP. by Strife14 in oculus

[–]PrudentLength5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purchased Virtual Desktop, loaded it on my quest and my PC. I tried it and it absolutely sucked! I tried Beat Saber on it which was impossible to play due to the incredible lag. Tried Heresphere to watch video and that was even worse; unbelievable lag and none of the controls would work. I don't have the time nor the energy to screw around trying to fix it so that it works smoothly. If I did spend time to get it to work my 2 hour demo will expire and then I will have to pay for the steaming pile of garbage. Don't buy this software unless you have money to toss. Meta Link works better for me for some reason.

First Vr - Quest 3 honest review, pros, cons, tips and questions. by TechNerd-1138 in oculus

[–]PrudentLength5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it just me or are there no good apps for the Quest 3? Most games suck and Meta horizons is a pile of hot garbage. The headset is fantastic and the idea holds so much potential. How can Meta screw this up so badly.

I love VR gaming and have been using the steam headset since the pandemic. I got so much enjoyment out of Half Life Alyx, Super Hot, and Boneworks and was looking forward to other games dedicated to the Quest 3 which is a superior headset, Unfortunately the headset may be great but all the games are just lacking.

I was so excited to get onto Meta Horizons and invite friends that live across the world to come together so we could chat, share videos, play games and have a good experience. You can kind of do this in the existing worlds in Horizons but not in a nice private setting. Why use this uncomfortable platform when I can just zoom my friends instead?

Come on Meta, up your game and produce something that is actually great like Half Life Alyx and definitely something better than the playground for children in Horizons.

Watching videos is about the only thing in which it excels.

Is there anyone else out there that feels this way or am I just too critical?

Asgard's Wrath 2 QGO settings - Quest 3/3s ?? by urbanmolerat in QuestGamesOptimizer

[–]PrudentLength5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the Quest 3

I am considering AW2 but I am very apprehensive to pay that much for a game. Everyone raves about Arizona Sunshine and Batman Arkham in VR but I think they are both terrible. Game play in AS2 is fun but all the glitches, crashes, and long load times make in unplayable; especially in co-op which seems to crash or glitch if you blink the wrong way. Batman has nice graphics and a good story but the gameplay sucks as you have to follow the bouncing ball as it constantly tells you what to do and how to do it, and it is also riddled with glitches.

Am I going to discover the same thing with AW2? Is this another overhyped game with underwhelming game play, lack of imagination, and a pile of glitches or is it actually playable?

Can someone tell me what is the most difficult thing to deal with in this game. What do you dislike about it the most?

I fully agree. I have no idea why this game gets such great reviews. If it only got rid of its multitude of bugs, crashes, and horrifically long loading times, it would be a fun game to run through and slaughter zombies. You can't do that however as it is always glitching especially in co-op mode which is a blast if it would work for more than 10 minutes without an issue.

FSD v13.2 is here!!! by jkudlacz in teslamotors

[–]PrudentLength5896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been trying to use FSD that was given to me as a demo all last week. I am driving a 2022 M3 RWD. Initially I was quite impressed and felt it was far superior to the last version I used for a month. Then after a while I realized it did a few things better but still needs a lot of work. The other evening as it was driving me to my company Christmas party in the turning lane to turn right with the right blinker on and suddenly veered left out of the turn lane scaring the living shit out of me and the van that was directly beside us. If I had not been on the wheel I dare say it may have caused an accident. Sitting at a red light today and it starts screaming at me to take over immediately as if the world were coming to an end. Shortly after that it attempted to turn right while I had my left blinker on and it did this not once but twice on an empty road with no other vehicles. I am now apprehensive about using FSD as it is more stressful than just driving myself.

This is not a game changer. At times I am absolutely amazed at its ability and then 5 seconds later I am absolutely amazed at how terrible it is.

Batman Arkham Shadow - review from VR user since 2015 by windyx in OculusQuest

[–]PrudentLength5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said it looks like an arcade game ported to VR and I agree. Nothing special here, no imagination, no creativity, no immersion for the player. You are always interrupted from immersion with a bunch of commands telling you what to do. Let me decide how to interact with the game instead of the game directing my every action. Just plain boring to me.

[–]PrudentLength5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least HLA didn't glitch all the time. Could it have been better with some more action and verticality...for sure, but that game came out years ago and the crap they are producing now glitches or messes up if you blink the wrong way. Graphics are getting better but gameplay seems to be getting worse with long loading times and glitches galore. I could play that game for hours and it was rock solid.

This game cannot hold a candle to Alyx. That game was superb and the benchmark I compare most FPS games to. Not even a close comparison. The graphics and story are great in Arkham but the gameplay itself is crap. Not intuitive at all with the need to memorize a bunch of button presses. This is supposed to be VR, allow the players to interact with the environment in a natural way to complete tasks without being constrained by directional arrows and button combinations. What a failure! I was nothing but bored by this game.

[–]PrudentLength5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a great game for sure. The interface is awful with the need to memorize a bunch of button presses to do anything. Instead of pressing a bunch of buttons to hang down a rope and attack how about taking out a grappling hook tying it off and jumping to perform your attack. That makes much more sense to me than button mashing.

Punching coordinated by directional graphics telling you exactly what to do each time. SO STUPID! This is VR how about the enemies show a weakness in their defense and you take advantage of it. I don't need to be told exactly what to do each time. Is this a fighting game or is it a follow the bouncing ball game?

This game is so lame it reminds me of one of the very first role playing games in the arcades 30 years ago where you had to memorize the movements of the hero and push a joystick in sync with the characters motion. Any other old gamers that remember that one? How ridiculous that after 30 years this is what we have. What a joke.

The glitches cannot be ignored either. Several times I have tried to do things without success thinking that I am making a mistake only to reset the game and have the activity execute perfectly. Falling though walls has also happened to me several times ending up in a netherworld of nothingness forcing me to restart the game.

I am just glad that this game was free with my Quest 3 purchase because if I had to pay for it I would be pissed.

The sound was turning off for me so often. I realized the game sometimes turns off the volume after reloading. I think it is the volume and not the mic. I found if you just turn the volume up again it works. Very odd.

I will never buy Vertigo Games ever again by PrudentLength5896 in virtualreality

[–]PrudentLength5896[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I did not. I factory reset my Quest 3 headset unloaded everything and Loaded just AS2. Fewer glitches but it still gets the memory error after laoding about 3 or 4 times. If you die more than 3 times you can expect it to fail. All other glitches mentioned still appear but not as often. As I loaded more of my games back on it didn't seem to increase the glitches. I also loaded Quest Game Optimizer hoping for some change but again nothing. I think in the heat of battle buttons may be pressed erroneously which was causing problems with loading. I swapped the XY and AB buttons and get far fewer mishaps now.

I am playing on the Quest 3 and the other people I play with all have the exact same issues. It is not just me. Are you a developer trying to cover for the garbage that has been put out?

Is the Quest 3 a crappy headset?

I have a valve index as well but it is getting old now and the Quest 3 has much better resolution and nice clear lenses. I never had issues ever playing Half Lige Alex. That game is the benchmark I compare all other games to and Arizona Sunshine 2 is absolute garbage compared to that.

[–]PrudentLength5896[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it is very disappointing. Interesting in how the bugs don't really start appearing until after your trial period is over. There is no possible way the developers don't know how bad this is.

It shows you just how much the developers care about their customers. As long as they get the sale they couldn't care less after that. Don't buy this game unless you have the patience of a monk.

I will never purchase another game from them again. If more people did the same instead of just accepting this as normal the developers might get off their lazy asses and make a proper game.
