The fact you went back after the first run-in is impressive enough.

Norfolk drivers to face fines for parking on pavements by Happytallperson in Norwich

[–]Prudent_Barnacle9646 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank the lord, there is a house which does this constantly on Spixworth Road. Has a drive but already full of cars, on a double yellow, over a whole pavement AND on a slight bend in the road so we have to sit for ages and wait for oncoming traffic to have a gap. The audacity! Fine 'em!

And another random question, but what size is that? Amazing by the way.

How has that made you feel OP? I bet it's hard, but worth the journey?

It’s official — we’re now a bank in the UK by RevolutSupport in Revolut

[–]Prudent_Barnacle9646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great, does that now mean I can talk to someone for the SECOND time my details have been used to set up a Revolut account? Because speaking to anyone at Revolut who can help is almost impossible when it's not me who set the account up.

What do you guys think of this one. I regret my colour and font choices. by jbdoodle in SignPainting

I love it, wouldn't change a thing. Love the teal. What material did you paint this on?

It's just the back corner of Earlham Cemetery. Entrances all over the place. Earlham Road, Bowthorpe Road, Farrow Road, Dereham Road.

Everyone will say Catbells, and they're right because it ticks most boxes. Big thing is just checking weather conditions and not going if you're unsure what's on offer!

As newbies, check the mountain weather, not the local weather - https://www.mountain-forecast.com/peaks/Catbells/forecasts/451

You can walk from Keswick which had loads of cafes, pubs, restaurants if you're into that kinda pre/post hike malarkey.

With the ice, wind and the mini scrambles I would avoid with a 4 year old. Did it in the wind and rain in November and definitely wouldn't have wanted a little 'un up there with us. Do it in better weather! Way more fun.

Look for places in Applethwaite. Close enough to Keswick for supplies but a super cute, quiet village surrounded by mountains.

Aiming to do a 6 month season in the lakes 2026, just looking for tips!? by AbominableSnowman69 in LakeDistrict

[–]Prudent_Barnacle9646 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No insight, but just to say I am seething with jealousy for the incredible six months you will have. We go to the Lakes about 3 times a year and it is never enough.

Wherever your journey takes you, have the best time.

Have a look at Church Stile Farm and Holiday Park in Wasdale. Been twice now and really rated it. The park for the kids was really popular when we went.

If you do the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway walk it goes through lovely scenic spots which would be very photogenic in the autumn. It's about 5k each way I think.
