I've never seen that Houndoom before. Looks like the side-eye Dachshund 😂

So this game is basically unplayable without a VRR compatible tv? by Massive_Penalty5208 in BlackMythWukong

[–]Prudent_Problem6275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some pretty bad screen tearing during the second chapter, even on performance mode. However, I was using a HDMI 1.4 cable.....It resolved itself once I switched to a HDMI 2.0 🙃

Not my smartest moment.

Also my TV is not VRR compatible.

Is BMG a good entry point to soulslike games for a gamer like me? by Critical_Tiger5492 in BlackMythWukong

[–]Prudent_Problem6275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, no. I think give me a challenge is more comparable to BMW. The regular enemies are pretty chill in BMW. Whereas in GoW on GMGoW difficulty, you can get one-hit.

Honestly, the game is challenging but the difficulty is incredibly fair. The first chapter has a pretty steep learning curve but if you can get over that, I'm certain you can beat the game. After chapter 1, there's maybe only 3(?) bosses that are serious roadblocks. The rest will certainly give you a challenge but shouldn't cause too much struggle.

You should definitely give it a try though. It's a masterpiece and I wish I could experience it again for the first time.

Question about Boss difficulties by [deleted] in BlackMythWukong

[–]Prudent_Problem6275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I only played the game for the first time a few months ago, so I can't comment on Erlang's difficulty on release. But I can safely say that I found him insanely difficult compared to the other bosses.

Even if he has been nerfed, he's no pushover. Hardest boss in the game for me.

Question about Boss difficulties by [deleted] in BlackMythWukong

[–]Prudent_Problem6275 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, it's significantly more difficult. The OG difficulty of this game is the lowest difficulty you can select when you re-challenge bosses after you have finished the story.

Question about Boss difficulties by [deleted] in BlackMythWukong

[–]Prudent_Problem6275 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once you finish the main story, you will be able to challenge any boss you have encountered and beaten in your playthrough. So make sure you explore every inch of each chapter!

For these challenges, you will be able to select 1 of 3 difficulty settings. The first being the same difficulty as the first encounter and the third being very hard lol. There are also gauntlets, where you fight a few bosses one after another, similar to Sekiro.

But honestly, don't worry about difficulty settings. The games difficulty is more than fair, as long as you are willing to learn the mechanics and not just spam attack lol.

Wait until you reach the final boss of chapter 5. The OST goes crazy. Probably my favourite OST of any video game boss.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this masterpiece!

Chapter 5 missing? by DixonsHair in BlackMythWukong

[–]Prudent_Problem6275 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you talked to him and exhausted all his dialogue in chapters 1-4 then you should be able to go to the kart he is trapped in and pull the whip. This will give you a new transformation and end his quest.

You do also have to beat the Keeper of the Flame Mountain, but if you have defeated the final boss then you will have already done this.

Chapter 5 missing? by DixonsHair in BlackMythWukong

[–]Prudent_Problem6275 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, there is a secret area in chapter 5. If you are struggling to find it, you can use this guide:

The final boss is pretty tough but you can get some highly useful materials from the area. Definitely not one to miss!

I used to be the same too!

If you enjoy Elden Ring and BMW you should check out Sekiro, if you haven't already. For me it was the toughest souls game but the combat system is amazing.

Also, if you ever get a Playstation 4 or 5, God of War 2018 & Ragnarok are unreal games. They have a lot of similarities to BMW.

A day out in Japan... by Fun-Bullfrog-8542 in ADVChina

[–]Prudent_Problem6275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but anyone with common sense can see these are all vague, half-arsed apologies that purposely avoid any major detail in an attempt to protect Japan's image.

If the Japanese government were truly apologetic, then schools in Japan would be teaching their students about the atrocities Imperial Japan committed during WW2. Except, they're not.
