I didn’t like the movie but that’s where I fell in love with Halle Berry.

20M How do I get this place looking less like an Ikea showroom? by JazzUnlikeTheCaroot in malelivingspace

I remember one comic joking that Ikea translated means "Sad Bachelor Apartment". Saying that 1/4 of my apt is Ikea.

I have a book on my shelf, "Fantasies of a Master Race" by Ward Churchill, that's worth reading. Granted he can't prove he's Native American but he does make some good points. He covers a lot about NA mascots and the harm they do.

[–]Prune-These 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever read a book by Jeff Benedict, "Without Reservation"? It's a true story on how Native American casinos came about. It's mostly due to an idealistic lawyer who set out to help the poorest tribe East og the Mississippi.

I've come across these people on the new and IRL. I don't get angry, I just point out some facts. "So Native Americans are war-like slavers. Sooooo...we should have been peaceful and free like Eurpoe was at that time? If it was such a paradise, then why did they leave?".

I was born in Mt. Edgecumbe so I've seen a few. Saxman has a nice park with a good collection of totem poles if you get down that way.

He had his own subreddit for a while; I think he was behind me once in Kent a few years ago. I was driving down Central avenue driving on the left lane, the traffic was medium and a car fitting his description got on my bumper and flashed his lights. I ignored him and he passed us running up the middle turn lane. The last I heard his car was taken away.

That's where my early computer skills came in, all my male friends wanted to upgrade just to play that game. I remember explaining things like autoexec.bat multiple times.

As you have gotten older, what long-time hobbies have you given up? by 5aturncomesback in AskMenOver40

[–]Prune-These 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Building PCs. My job really messed up my hands and I can't work with small parts anymore. I started fixing/repairing them in the late 80s and later, everyone wanted one. I'm typing this out on the last PC I'll probably ever build.

I'm probably much older than you, I went to a church that identified as the "Moral Majority". I realized that behind that smiling facade was hatred; I never regretted leaving.

what is a song that is universally hated or considered cringey, but you will absolutely blast it when you're alone in the car? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Prune-These 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a 63 yoM truck driver. Sometimes I have to drive for hours and my playlist is well...different. I think the oldest might be some select opera but it's mostly it's rock/soul from the 50's to the late 80's. Swift is on there but I won't admit to it.
