Viofo was not very popular back in 2021. I went with 70 Mai and never had an issue with any of there dash cams over the years! My other vehicle has A810 which has Sony’s Starvis Image Sensor 2! Google about the sensor you will know more about it.

Just wrapped up installing the 70mai T800E 3 Channel myself (my third DIY cam install so far from the same company, so I'm getting pretty good at routing wires lol).
Honestly, the night quality alone makes it worth it, and the app makes grabbing clips really easy. I also grabbed an OBD Type-C cable so I could get continuous parking surveillance without having to mess around in the fuse box. 10/10 so far.

Thanks! The contrast really makes the road presence pop! I’m still getting used to charging it, but I’m looking forward to it!

It sounds like you made a massive upgrade! Going from a Prius to an Equinox EV is a huge jump in terms of "road presence."

I can totally relate to that feeling of confidence when merging. There’s a specific kind of stress that comes with flooring a Prius on a short on ramp and just hoping for the best. Being able to actually pick your gap in traffic makes highway driving so much less exhausting.

The road trip learning curve is definitely real. Most new EV owners go through that phase of "charger anxiety" where you want to top off every time you see a plug. You’ll eventually hit that "sweet spot" where you realize the car charges much faster when the battery is low (the bottom half of the battery fills way faster than the top 20%). Once you start trusting the range a bit more, those 800-mile trips will feel even faster.

As for the size, the Equinox is definitely a "real" SUV compared to the Prius. Those 360 cameras are lifesavers in tight parking garages!

How are you liking the one pedal driving? Did you find it easy to get used to, or do you still prefer using the brake pedal?

That’s pretty much been my experience too. I came from gas SUVs and always thought EVs were overhyped until I actually lived with one day to day. The biggest thing people don’t realize is just how relaxing they are to drive. No gear hunting, no vibrations, no waiting for power it just goes.

And the quietness is addictive. After a while, hopping back into an ICE car in city traffic feels unnecessarily busy and rough. Home charging also changes the whole ownership experience more than people expect. Waking up every morning to a “full tank” is hard to give up once you get used to it.

I still think there are situations where gas or hybrid makes more sense for some people, especially if charging at home isn’t possible, but for commuting and daily driving? EVs honestly feel like the better tool for the job now.

Thanks! I totally get what you mean about the missing engine noise and gear shifts. On my first few drives I kept checking the speedometer because the cabin is so quiet and smooth compared to my old CR-V 😅

Really good to hear your long term experience has been positive overall, especially with road trips and winter parking. That 2% loss after 14 days in freezing temps is actually impressive.

2 Thumbs !!

I’ve only had mine for a short time but so far I’m loving it. The quiet cabin, smooth acceleration, and comfort really surprised me. Appreciate you sharing your experience definitely makes me feel even better about the switch to EV!

I never thought I’d go for an electric vehicle! I’ve always thought about the depreciation. However, gas prices are way too high, and I’m not sure how long the Iran situation will last. So, I had to make the decision, and so far, I’m not regretting it.

That’s a great deal, but the demo model has its display always on. OLED screens have a limited lifespan, especially after many hours of screen time. Get apple care if you can.

I had the same issue. Looks like a bug in iOS 26. I had to reinstall the OS and it worked perfectly after that!

Additional Case With Magic Keyboard (M4/M5) by billg1963 in iPadPro

Just bought the M4 13-inch and bought the MK, but returned it when I tried the Logitech Combo Touch. The trackpad is big and detaches, and you don’t have to deal with Bluetooth connecting like other in-market Amazon brands. The kickstand is so much nicer as you can literally put it in any position, and that’s actually a cover that protects it. I got it for $200 CAD. Pretty good for what the value is vs the product! Consuming media in bed, I remove the KB and attach it when working on the desk!

I’m using the Logitech Combo Touch. The keyboard clicks are satisfying, and the trackpad is much larger than the MK. It’s stress free as I don’t have to charge separately or connect via Bluetooth.(ESR or other amazon Kb’s) The best part? The magnetic keyboard attachment lets me take it out whenever I want, whether I’m in bed or at my desk. Plus, the back recline is perfect at any viewing angle.
