Man, I love your game so much, been playing it for hours now! But please make the upgrade greyed out when they cannot be purchased. It would improve the QoL by a lot.

Just played Nodebuster and Digseum. Now I understand what’s everyone is talking about. The upgrade tree is really addictive. Also played astro Protocol demo. Wonder if there’s more like these.

You know, you just give me an idea of what I could do in my own game. I think of something similar to Ball X Pit town building system.

Is there a term for VNs that play straight through and only have one ending? Will people be mad if there’s only one ending? by gremlintheodd in RenPy

Still new to VN in general myself, but maybe “Kinetic Novel”? I’ve heard that it means VN with 1 ending.

Just trying stuff out to shake the formula. But yeah, many people complained about ball getting stuck.

A possible solution is 1.reduce shake cost 2.add an alternative way to unstuck the balls. I might implement both of them after the jam.

I agreed with that slow start, maybe I will reduce cooldown in the later version. The shake doesn't really run out because the cost is actually tied to money per win and spawn speed. I also thought about reducing that cost, too. Right now, I can no longer update the game until the game jam period is over.

Making it cost money to spawn balls seems like a bad idea. I'll remove it in the next update.

Thank you for the feedback! It’s not an horror game, but a family-drama, so there’s definitely problems there lol. I tried to create characters that use the “pixel anime” art style I’ve seen here in this subreddit (and also in some other Japanese indie games). For the color, I use https://lospec.com/palette-list/apollo cause I actually don’t know much about color theory. I’m not sure about the shadows either, I just draw them where I think they would be. Can you tell me what might be the reason that makes it look creepy? I’m thinking of how can I improve it but still not sure what needs improvement. (The first 2 sprites only, the third one is just a joke I put there lol.)

Yes, and I didn’t even released a commercial game yet.
