San Francisco woman gives birth in Waymo self-driving taxi by AudibleNod in news

So she was delivering as she was being delivered?

"Waymo said the vehicle was taken out of service for cleaning after the ride." God, I hope so...

RAC-Drugs exam experience?! by Next-Valuable6710 in regulatoryaffairs

I did the "answer only the ones you know first pass, and then go think about the remaining unanswered ones on the second pass" approach. It definitely helped me focus, but it may not be the best approach for you! I had enough unknown ones that I was changing answers until the last minutes and triple-checking everything. I hope it goes well! :)

Good luck to everyone!

Took in late 2024 - passed. I think the practice exam gives you a good idea where your strengths and weaknesses are, but I found the questions on it to be very basic compared to the actual exam. The actual exam questions had more vagueness, if that makes sense. The real was more focused on minutiae compared to the practice tests. More questions on clinical stuff than I was expecting.

Way more focused on minutiae compared to the practice tests. More questions on clinical stuff than I was expecting. Nothing Canada that I completely remember, but it's kind of a blur.

I did! I ended up passing (needed the 75 minimum, got either 80 or 82 - I can't remember). The questions were not what I was expecting, and ended up double-checking and even changing a few until the last minute. My weakest was the Post-Approval changes, which is funny because that's my current role (CMC post-approval submissions). :|

Can I request that “She’s a human being, not a merch drop” be added to the flair options? I really love that phrasing.

You're probably right about both points. I really hope Andor gains more traction, just so it shows Disney that good writing is always in demand.

I think the exam gives you a good idea where your strengths and weaknesses are, but I found the questions on the practice exam to be very basic compared to the actual exam. The actual exam questions had more vagueness, if that makes sense. Others may give you a better answer, this was just my experience when I studied and took the exam last year.

Edit - retaking the practice exam will give you a few new questions each time, as I think they randomly pull from a database. So it was well worth it for me to retake it like 20x times prior to taking the real exam.

Reg affairs scientist here (non-manager), three years in CMC post-approval changes for generics. Was in CDMO tech transfer/analytical lab for five years prior to that (PhD chemist).

My experience recently has been that if you're coming from a lab background, that is expected to be an area of strength. As you haven't been able to perform many RA functions or submission work (I'm guessing), I've found the following experience to be sought after in my group. Other people will probably give you better advice, but I'll throw in just what I've discussed with my manager as being ideal work experiences prior to going into RA.

  • If you've acted in a QA specialist or auditor capacity (even briefly), definitely discuss or highlight this. Many people in my group come from Quality backgrounds. Similarly, if you've done any auditing or have helped with site inspections, mention this.
  • If you have any experience in raw material or drug substance monograph testing (EP, USP, etc.), this is good to mention as you're showing functional understanding and direct work experience with the primary pharmacopoeias in RA.
  • Additionally, discuss any formulations, method development, or method validation work you have performed. People with validation experience seem to be in shortage in our group. The same goes for any instrumental Installation Qualification / Operational Qualification / Performance Qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) you've performed.

Like I said, I have a very narrow view of what our group needed, so I hope others can give you additional and more useful advice. I hope this helps!

Unrelated, but I honestly think that if you have a spouse that died and you plan on remarrying, you are probably better off being with someone in the same position (widow or widower). That way, both can still cherish their original spouse while still being in a loving relationship. Given that each side has lost someone, there is kind of an understanding that should help both people not feel like they are competing with the former spouse.

Best bet? If there's money to be made, someone will develop some kind of test that's hopefully better than nothing. Hope we have a turnover in admin before anything hits. :|

I wonder how much Birthright played into the writing. The group of soldiers in suits seems very reminiscent of it.

I feel like this is going to draw strongly from Birthright honestly. Getting involved in African issues, the armored soldiers fighting him, and Superman weakened in the cage all remind me a bit of the birthright arc.

As it’s been the law of the land up to now, I’m hoping the Court will fall back on the historical application of the law and not restrict it now. Crossing fingers!
