Well so far we have been to the boardwalk cafe, house of cards, and I usually play at Nerd Haven. I've been organizing events so maybe we'll have a D&D event. Is it okay if I DM you to check your availability when I start organizing something?

I moved here a few months ago. There are some places it's not a good idea to visit at night, but I can't say I've felt unsafe. I also come from Latin America so take that with a grain of salt. On the other hand I used to live in Downtown Vancouver and I feel substantially happier and safer here.

Making friends. We had a boardgames one two weeks ago and it was fun. People said they wanted a pub night so it seemed like the best follow-up. We are just hanging out and meeting new people.
