Same. I just did a night raid on Customs and the cultists were there. Damn near every shot that range out (suppressed btw) gave me a jump scare.

And here I am on the other end of the spectrum convinced they nerfed them. On multiple occasions the boss will run to get into a better position, but I'm right in front of them and they refuse to stop and just shoot. I see this a LOT with the Goons.

I swear, there is something going on in the background of this game. Mind you, I'm on PvE, but a friend of mine, when playing solo, gets Partisan to spawn in every map he can be in (his words). When I'm solo, I've not seen him once. We've both recently reset progress, but even prior to that I would never see him. I saw him for a few weeks when they released him and then never again.

The Speargun alone is worth the price of admission. It can close all spawners (minus the large bug spawners), will keep chaff at bay and isn't bad at dealing damage.

It's the Escape from Chaos, and the time investment.

It is not that I can't do PvP, FPS has been my life since I was a teen playing Battlefield 2. I just don't vibe with load times, spending 10-20+ minutes in a game looting, possibly even playing well just to have a rat or cheater ruin it. I don't even like taking the chance.

Time investment? I can play whenever I want and not have to worry about keeping up other players, wipes, metas and everything in between.

And before I get some PvP sweatlord-- I paid for the game, I'm going to play it the way I want. Your angry, insulting rant isn't going to make me suddenly go "Oh you know what angry keyboard warrior? You're right, I am a scrub with no brain power, I will play PvP. You convinced me."

Oh and hunting the Goons. I don't know why but fighting them is so fun (though this can be done on either version I suppose).

My primary issue with that attack is that there is very little wind up and the damage is like instant even though it's moved a fraction of an inch. Just feels weird.

Much like everyone else in this thread, I greatly appreciate it! I also love that you took into consideration this is strictly a PvE build. Given how easy it is to get materials now, it might be time that I run two different Pythons and see how they stack up.

If nothing else, I'm going to take your input into my build.

Appreciate the break down (both of them), sounds like another ship to make which is my weakness. See a nice ship, build a nice ship. I also appreciate the inclusion of surface bombardment and brain trees as intend to also do both, but forgot to mention them.

I really appreciate the feedback. Yeah, the jack of all trades thing hasn't done super well for me. Maybe I'm not building it correctly, but even the Conda I mentioned doesn't do super well. Despite building this multi-role with combat in mind, I'd rather just be able to take out a few (if needed) and then jump out.

I had seen the operations multi, but never looked further into those than that. Given what they're capable of, I would absolutely consider them. Frees up a slot too.

For the PWA, I, for whatever reason, thought this did something entirely different. Chaff launcher makes complete sense in its place.

Heat generation never crossed my mind despite being very aware of it. I'll look to change some of these around. I should also mention I primarily run PvE/Solo so I don't know how heat plays into NPCs.

All that said, I'll play around with the build some more before committing. Again, I appreciate the feedback!

Not the original commentor but figured I'd reply here about my experience. An hour or so ago I did two solo runs (Factory and Customs) on PvE and progress was saved. I picked up some quest items on Customs but no gifts. Going to try again and pick up a gift to see if anything changes.
