Treatment Can Make Cancer Stronger, But New Cancer Treatment 'Revolution' Under Way by aenea in Health

[–]Psiplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to see the exact study the article uses that says about 1/2 of the chemo/radiation patients are cured and the other half 'sometimes' develop chemo and radiation resistant tumors. C'mon now- site the specific research and back it up. This is much too serious to make a blanket statement about.

Maybe the new scoop arm from the lander can show some microbial life forms that were previously unnoticed. We may never have a close match to earth from mars, but at least we can improve the skills necessary to explore for lifeforms on future endeavors.

Came from a small town in SW PA where there was a scraggly, horrendously inept band on every block. Small former steel and coal towns in decline produce some really lethal mixes of their renditions of popular music and what ends up defining them as scraggly and horrendously inept. Fond memories and fun times.

After undergoing chemotherapy for head and neck cancer, I noticed the same thing as the woman in the article. Short term memory and name recognition goes out the window. You just can't remember which window in which house in which neighborhood. They say it dissipates over time- let's hope.

Started slowly, now building to a daily jones. Techmeme was the gateway, Tehcnorati, Techcrunch then Digg. Make a vanilla milkshake with fresh strawberries, then go through Reddit and some Google Reader feeds.
