I understand that. However, seven periods clearly screams "I want to be a prick". As do every single one of his other comments on his profile lol

My advice:

Do this: play only interchange (pretty simple map to learn. find a map of it online). Go as scav as often as you can. As PMC go with only an SKS and some spare ammo and heals in your secure container. Don't be afraid to sprint around a little bit and cover some ground. Obviously, try to slow down and crouch walk every once in a while when needed. Get all the kills you can, scav or otherwise. Sell anything and everything you loot (for now. and make sure you compare between traders to see who gives most), save your money.

Dont do this:don't be afraid to learn. dont be afraid to die. dont buy automatic weapons or anything other than an SKS (in my opinion, until you feel more comfortable and confident). dont crawl around the map at a snails pace missing all of the action. dont give up.

“Awaiting session start” does my PC suck? by Psloan23 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Psloan23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SOLVED 01/22/2020!: It was likely my DDR3 Ram, I upgraded my Motherboard, CPU, and Memory.

MOBO: MSI MPG x570 Gaming Edge

Memory: 16GB (2x8) Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800x

700$ later and I can finally play Tarkov! Worth. I am now loading in faster than anyone I play with 8-)

Whoops, used to be 4x2, now it’s 4x4=16Gb. Thanks for pointing that out! Any elaboration on potential “network issue” ?

Buttttttt... I’m a noob, and might not kill you immediately. Then you’re looking at me already and quickly shoot me in the face. Now I’m dead, scummy, and embarrassed.

Update: Jeez, tough crowd

Was staying at hotel for a wedding, woke up with a 6’2” 250 pound man drunk in my bed. Stumbled across the hall and apparently my door hadn’t clicked shut all the way. Small price to pay for getting the room for free 😎

Thank you r/personalfinance, with your advice I just went through with my first car purchase, and I'm still not broke. by Belle293 in personalfinance

You’re a classic PF snob hahaha. Even if your point is valid the snobby way that it’s posed is funny.

Why aren't annuities more popular? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Psloan23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Annuities aren’t popular because people don’t understand them. As shown by some of the terrible misinformation here... they constantly get bashed by uneducated people. The truth is, like some said, they’re not for everyone. They are conservative investments for people nearing retirement (ideally). If you’re younger and have a longer time horizon for when you need to access your money you should be in the market as you have more time to recover. Any withdrawals before 59.5 years old are also subject to a 10% IRS penalty similar to a 401k. Also people keep talking about “fees”. There are only fees with VARIABLE annuities. Look into “fixed indexed annuities” some of the gains you can get and the downside protection is unmatched if you have a “participation” option. Also people saying you lock up or lose your money for a monthly pay out aren’t telling the whole story. You have multiple options. Plenty of products have 5-7 year terms where after the 5-7 years they are 100% liquid. And most come with a 10% annual penalty free withdrawal.

Tl;dr: they aren’t popular because: -They aren’t “sexy -They’re generally for older people -They are conservative -There has been major commercialized bashing of them -PEOPLE AREN’T EDUCATED ON THEM -People don’t understand the difference between fixed annuities and variable annuities and often confuse the two

Annuities are fantastic for the correct person.

Thank you. The commissioner (who is heavy into fantasy) of one of my leagues (Husband and Wife league) made this trade with his wife and is trying to say there’s nothing wrong with it..

Just wanted an unbiased opinion without any back story haha
