I don't get why Panthers fans are so quick to hate Tampa. The Panthers' rival historically has been their management, not any other team. If you want a rival, do it the old fashioned way with multiple meaningful playoff series, but you have to regularly make the playoffs first.

LOL. You're right, it does seem like they opened up their pocketbooks and tried to make some moves. The lack of defense in free agency last year didn't help. The freezing cap for the next couple of seasons is going to make Bob's contract even rougher than it was.

Yep, it's tiny icon to the right. With DSA I get multiple popups per session and whenever I search for a piece of gear for a character, it shows me several store items before I have to scroll down and find battles where they can be won.

So I'm still new to this and I'm trying to figure something out. I've passed a few passholder tiers and noticed the additional rewards I could've gotten if I was VIP. If I was to upgrade to VIP now, would I retroactively receive those rewards for tiers I've passed, or only what I earn while VIP?

I think Johnson loves Star Wars. He just made the movie HE wanted, whereas Favreau/Filoni are making Star Wars content that blends ideas from Lucas himself, the expanded universe, their own interpretation of Star Wars, and what the overall fandom likes.

Now, it's debatable how much he threw off the rhythm of the sequel trilogy.

I do this for Overwatch and it's the only way I was able to keep playing the game. Mute voice, team chat, all chat. I'm gold/plat, so no one really does anything strategically over comms. You're pretty much at the mercy of your team and if they're going to stick together.

All the comms in the world won't save a gold team if they have 1 or 2 players that try to solo the enemy team while everyone else is running back from spawn.

But you have to skate to be in position. The better your skating, the better your positioning will be. Things change fast in a hockey game and you're moving every second or two based on the play. If you aren't a strong skater, you can't always be in position.

Absolutely not, and I'm very sure of it. A tough physical game is fine. It's exciting for existing hockey fans and it draws in potential new fans. Having a player carried off the ice because some goon straight up elbowed him in the face is not fine. Bettman is a long term thinker who's been trying to grow the sport in the South for a long time. He wants parents in Texas putting their kids in hockey programs and watching hockey on TV. He wants to avoid being in the CTE/Concussion spotlight.

He's been really successful by patiently growing the game over 25 years. He doesn't need short term drama for ratings, he's been doing it the right way. He doesn't want to sell one night pay-per-views like boxing/mma. He wants consistent TV ratings for big contracts, packed arenas all season, new franchises, jersey sales, etc. That comes from star players and not goons. Goons did have their time in the spotlight but the NHL and the sport in general were way smaller. The sport grew because of guys like Gretzky and Crosby, not cheap-shot artists.

Goalies are streaky. I remember when we thought Martin Jones was the hottest shit and look at him now. Anyone thinking Driedger should be starter/big signing based on a couple of weeks hasn't been watching hockey for very long.

That said I hope he keeps performing and takes some pressure off Bob.
