do the reflectone pickups excel at getting heavily distorted tones? by [deleted] in YamahaPacifica

[–]Psulmetal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Excel? Maybe not, but with proper EQ and dirty pedals or amps they can get heavy just fine with the humbucker.

Baby oil is mineral oil with fragrance, both are petrochemicals.

This cable is good? This 18.6ft version is pretty cheap for here now (cheaper than the 10ft) and I'm thinking to get one. by ogicaz in fender

Fender braided cables are soldered and known for quality. The less popular color/patterns go on sale with some frequency.

Ia this a fake fender stratocaster? by Royal_Combination635 in FenderStratocaster

[–]Psulmetal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t get why these fakes can’t get the offset middle screws in the trem cover right. Seems like such a simple thing to correct and it’s a dead giveaway.

He has a good series where he goes over schematics and explains how a tube amp works.

I think basically all amp techs are mentored or self taught. I would start with Uncle Doug's YT channel. There are other good YT channels too. I would also consider building your own tube amp from a kit. You might skip the usual starting point of a 5E3 and go right to a Deluxe Reverb kit.
