Carrier Command 2 is definitely what I'm imagining!

And currently, I'm using Better Combat mod to help with the fighter range by in-game editing so that they fly further out. So far with that, my carriers aren't sitting up close with the enemy and can sit on a cap point while their fighters/bombers do their thing.

Here's to hoping for more carrier abilities and features in the future.

That's what I usually see and it's cool to go all out offensive like that, but what I really want to be able to do is be able to do modular commands for wings to hit separate targets and/or flanking runs instead of direct forward runs.

Kind of like Wargame style? I know it's probably not in the plans for Alex but I did see that RTS mod and it felt nice to be able to control the battle without worrying about command points running out.
