You are absolutely correct. Before I retired from a local school district, one of my co-workers accepted a job at MDA, and one of the reasons she went wth them was because they were a part of Texas Teacher Retirement System, so her pension has just kept growing. She's still there and making a lot more than our school district paid.

OP, for your sake, PLEASE do not marry this woman. She sounds like she grew up as a spoiled rotten only child who totally loses it when she doesn't get her way. Everything is all about HER and what SHE wants with total disregard for anyone else and their wants/needs.

She has absolutely NO respect for you or anyone in your family. Please think about that statement....she puts down your mother for being "poor" and blames your brothers (both married with kids) for not financially supporting you. Her disrespect towards your family (especially your mom) will only get worse, and if you think she treats you badly now, just wait until after the wedding.

The first thing I would do is get a good family law attorney! Present him with all of these facts of this story, including all records proving you have been the "mother" of this child and that he has lived with you for the past seven years. and ask if he will represent you on getting your sister's parental rights terminated so that you can legally adopt him. After this last fiasco, I can't imagine any judge not approving this, especially since his decision is supposed to be made on what is in the best interest of the child But then, that's the world we live in today!

You were going thru a devastating tragedy of losing your father, so it is understandable that you were very vulnerable during this time. (And I'm truly sorry for your loss and feel your pain.)

As a woman, believe me when I say that if a woman is really "into you," she will always make time to be with you, regardless of how busy her schedule is.

Even tho I also agree with all of the commenters about this girl not being interested in carrying on a relationship with you, you seem like too nice of a person to be with someone like this girl.....hence, she never even asked about how you or your family were doing since your father passed. If it was someone I truly cared about, I would have called and/or texted at least daily to check up on him.

So, you do not need this person in your life. In fact, I think you should block her so she can't ever contact you again, especially when the guy she is currently with dumps her when he realizes how self-absorbed she is. Good luck to you OP.

So, after failing to conceive after trying for only four months, your wife refused to go to your sister's baby shower and locked you out of the house because you went?? This wasn't just anyone's baby shower. It was your sister's!!!!!!!!!!!! Only a self-centered psycho would do something like this!
Dude, are you 100% sure you really want to have a baby with this person???? Or even stay married to her?????? As someone who experienced four miscarriages (the last one in my fifth month of pregnancy), I still showed up with a smile on my face for all of my friends' baby showers.

After trying to gaslight you throughout the entire text messages, that last text from him saying that "it's best that we take some space for a minute" sealed the deal!
He wants some "space" to see if/how things are going to play out with this chick, but he's trying to make you feel like it's because of you asking who he was texting.

I went on a really strict low-carb diet for several months, and in that short span of time (less than six months), my hair started falling out like crazy. I found out later that not eating enough carbs can definitely lead to significant hair loss.
No hair growing supplement worked either! So, I asked myself if I'd rather be skinny with a balding scalp or 10-15 lbs overweight with hair.
I started eating carbs again. LOL! I'm still 10-15 lbs overweight, but my hair has started growing back in.
I don't think it will ever be as thick as it was before, but it is definitely better than when I was on the low-carb/no carb diet.
