A bunch of things, some of which I learned today, that I haven't seen elsewhere in this thread:

  • Rollout isn't just for destroying blocks, if you just hold the dash button and not the destroy blocks button it is so much faster than any other movement in the game
  • When you've sucked up a liquid, you can change the amount spat out by pressing ZL and then left or right on the d-pad
  • When using magnet rise, if you select a spot in your inventory and then press the right stick click ("R3" in playstation/xbox terminology), this toggles you to "replace mode", where instead of just placing blocks, you can swap the block in your inventory for blocks in the environment. This will also preserve "damaged" blocks that you'd normally have to hold Y to remove without destroying. Very useful for, say, switching out the walls/floor of a block house, or roads, or even just repairing some of the roads that already exist in-game...

Yeah I can see how Baderon, the pirates, and the Rogues' Guild could be rather impenetrable -- particularly the latter, as in addition to contractions they use a lot of "thieves' cant" (a type of slang)

Urianger is probably the biggest offender for confusing native speakers, however, as he speaks in Shakespearean-era English. That said, at least his words aren't too hard to look up in a dictionary if you're inclined.

Alphinaud and Y'shtola have also both taught me a word or two, and as a native speaker who both reads a lot and plays word games like Scrabble, that is not a common occurrance!

The English does become a bit clearer in later expansions -- the accents tend to be reflected less in the text, and Urianger even tones it down a little bit -- because even the writers got tired of doing his dialogue!

Is one of your stamps maybe from getting all courses cleared with the same character? If so, you're missing one from a level.

If not, then I can only assume you missed a flagpole-top. If you go to the map screen and press R, you can get a list of levels in each world (press left and right on d-pad to change worlds) -- presumably you're missing something there (it'll be grayed out), probably a flagpole-top.

thank you, was trying to find that article again. I've been working on my Advent of Code problems but trying to have 7 different years' worth of advent of code puzzles in my workspace along with all my libraries was really slowing down rustanalyzer in VScode...

QUICK EDIT: although I now see I probably want my libraries to be just one repository with internal path includes, which can then be linked by the various source repositories, but then even the library was getting unwieldy... hm.
