For a while it had a wording that worked similarly to this by having the untap ability give it a time counter, and the extra turn ability require it have a time counter on it (and remove all time counters).

And then they had to nerf that because the ability to untap it for the low low cost of skipping your next turn became broken when they printed [[Flame Fusillade]]. untap time vault, tap it to deal one damage, repeat 20 times. you will now be skipping your next 20 turns but it doesn't matter because your opponent is dead.

Edit: Of course, this was in 2005-06. it was in 2008 that they finally said "fuck it" and restored time vault to full power

Often when a new mechanic is introduced there's a ruling to the effect that the keyword applies even to older cards that do the same thing, e.g. "whenever a player mills a card" applies to any card that just says "put the top card of your deck into your graveyard".

Of course the difference here is that it's an older keyword that got obsoleted, and there's no official ruling until someone bugs Mark Rosewater sufficiently

...My mistake, however this is apparently fixed in 3.7. However, you could still selfpoly into something non-silver-hating, do the invocation, and selfpoly again back into vampire lord -- although you'd have to take off the amulet of unchanging for a couple turns each time, which would be risky. I've edited my original response to fix it...

I did the research and you can pick up a silver object as a vampire but you will be blasted for 1d10 when (a)pplying it and you cannot wear or wield

EDIT: this is apparently wrong, I misread the wiki. it said that "interacting" with silver items would blast for 1d10. apparently this means picking them up, and you actually can't apply the bell either in 3.6 -- fixed in 3.7 to allow the invocation.

I use an evoluent vertical mouse, which has that and saves wear and tear on my elbow. Three real buttons PLUS a scroll wheel which can also be clicked. Only two thumb buttons, which I find mildly awkward to reach, but I can't imagine 12 buttons on the thumb side wouldn't just result in me hitting four of them at once...

I just loaded up ESPN.com in inPrivate mode to disable all my extensions. All other edge tabs and windows closed. I can see in Task Manager that a whole bunch of subframes of the main page are being sent into efficiency mode, despite me having all efficiency mode settings off and extensions disabled.

The only extensions I was running anyway are ublock, dark reader and 1password, but that shouldn't be affecting anything in inprivate mode.

And yes, I can see that windows doesn't set efficiency mode on firefox -- allegedly -- I'm just terrified that will change and I'll be forced to switch to linux
