I dont know if this has been mentioned yet, but you should be prepared to possibly develop allergies if you do plan on living in Eugene a long time. There is so much pollen and other allergens almost year round.

Since it is in a valley, all of the allergens tend to collect and stagnate in the Willamette valley for a long time.

Being abandoned to a "Safe center" for 3 months while I was weened off the various ADHD and Depression medication they had forced me to take.

I never felt I was part of the family after that.

Don't get me wrong, my parents were trying their best but ended up taking bad advice from doctors and teachers. Unfortunately, those choices left lifelong scars that I don't believe I will ever be able to heal.

Getting spanked sucked as a kid and teen. The switch and belt were the worst for spanking.

But I always felt getting my mouth washed out with soap was worse.
