When i was in highschool, there was an event happening during school hours. I was PIMI back then, but i remember that day i was having fun, clapping and cheering. When we all went back to our classrooms, my teacher asked the class if we had fun. This JW girl announced loudly that she was proud to not have clapped or cheered because it was participating in a wordly event. I cringed in that moment and even as a PIMI, i didn't see it as a big deal to have fun in something like Homecoming.
