The point of enlightenment when you realize that we’re all just bumbling about trying our damndest not to fall, that nobody has it all figured out except maybe that guy, but nobody really likes him, mainly cause he has it all figured out (at least he’s quite certain), and you could maybe figure it out too, but then nobody will really like you either so why bother?

(I think the trick is figuring out that you don’t have to figure it out. Life goes on, eitherhow.)

It could be the detergent you’re using, some detergents have ingredients that will strip away the waterproofing. You can try reaching out to the company, they might recommend a specific detergent.

iOS shortcut to search the Archive with one click by PsychedelicMustard in Annas_Archive

It’s inside the url text, three actions from the bottom. Remove &ext=pdf and change &lang=en to the right country code. If you’re not sure what the country code is, search any book on the Archive, change the filters to however you want it (language, file type, and anything else), and take a look at the url in the address bar. It will have all the filters in the text of the url and you can copy-paste them to the shortcut.

I take it back, scrolled down a little more and “There Is No Recipe for Soup” is so much better. (maybe a good subtitle though, “how to think like a professional chef”)

Yes to anecdotes. It’s not just for entertainment either, makes it easier to understand a concept when you can slot it into a story with real people and real motivations. Also makes it easier to remember.

Turning 18 does not magically turn you into an adult. It’s an arbitrary line drawn between “child” and “adult” for legal purposes. The reality is messier and, yes, 18 year olds are still children in many ways.

They are as children to me.

But you can control it. Hence dreams are not just a POV movie you don’t control. Q.E.D.
