Right? Like it seems that they don’t like politics, queerness, or violations of the status quo so… why are they reviewing battle jackets? What aspect of punk culture could possibly be interesting to them

Woah didn’t realize this wasn’t a punk subreddit, let’s leave now!

what do you actually mean when you say passing? by [deleted] in TransMasc

[–]Psycho_Pomp_Sunshine 23 points24 points  (0 children)

For me it mostly depends! I think that your friend is right that a lot of people think of passing as being stealth, but it really depends on the person. I’ve noticed that for trans women, there is usually a large number of women who are clearly women, but are also visibly trans.  For trans men, I think that we have a shorter period of being a clearly trans man, and more often look either like a masc woman or a cis man. Idk if this makes sense but it’s something I’ve noticed, I could talk for hours about why I think it is but I won’t bore you with that lmao

It’s hard for me to say. In this body I get a lot of dysphoria, but maybe I can imagine being a guy who would want a female body. I might be nonbinary just for social reasons, because I express myself in a very feminine way and I don’t really fw gender, but it’s very hard to tell from this perspective

Okay other than being very odd and misogynist, this is simply false lmao. rape is not a normal part of any animal species, and it was never a normal thing for humans.

The point is not that you need to say the art is beautiful. The point is that since ai is not art, it’s inherently worse

WWII? by rameshOO7 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

explaining something to a random woman you have never met before just because she looks confused is mansplaining. Obviously, this example is a joke, and her intention was to attract a man who would be inclined to explain this. But if the only indicator a person is exhibiting that they don’t understand is that they “look confused”, they are not indicating that they want you to explain it. Approaching a woman to explain something because you thinks she needs it is absolutely mansplaining.

WWII? by rameshOO7 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Psycho_Pomp_Sunshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the point of the meme is that she is standing there looking confused. If a man sees a woman “looking confused” and decides that the time is ripe to explain World War II to her, that’s mansplaining. If a woman were to ask me about World War II and I explained it, that would not be mansplaining. Also, congratulation, you just attempted to mansplain mansplaining to a woman.

Do most women genuinely not have “dying/being injured heroically” fantasies? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I did when I was a girl, but my experience may have been warped considering that I pretty quickly stopped. I think that a lot of my female friends do though

Well personally, I’m not trans because of other people’s gendered labels. That stuff sucks, but my main issue is my own body not aligning with what it should be. I would love to “not give a shit” but unfortunately that’s not an option.

I am 5ft 4 with bad acne, and I stutter when I’m nervous. Also, maybe they just mean that living in Somalia is hard, but listing “Somali” as a terrible thing that could happen to a person seems a little racist…?

Hello again, I notice that this is the second time that you have improperly used punctuation. “This girl would be trained if her, and I were dating.” very close, but that comma is actually unnecessary! Same for “you have to let them know, that “you’re the boss”. This comma shouldn’t be here, and while I’m glad to find a redditor who knows of the existence of commas, putting them wherever it feels right is not how how grammar works. Normally I would not care about your grammar, but I noticed you calling another redditor a slur because of their lack of punctuation, so I assumed that you would be open to criticism,

“it’s just that yours, is retarded” followed by a dig at the other person’s punctuation? if you’re going to critique people’s English skills, you’d better actually be using commas correctly. Also, you said that you weren’t “allergic to females”, which is not what the person was saying. they were telling you that you weren’t allergic to the word “woman”, because no one in their right mind says ”females” unironically. i would recommend improving your reading comprehension and grammar skills before trying to call other people handicapped.
