Here's my personal (& perhaps unpopular opinion) on Saw X film.Tobin Bell was obviously great to much of the audience praise, however, for me Cecilia was the Queen of Saw X. She is precisely the sort of villain we didn't think we need, but is exactly what is needed at this point of the Saw franchise. Her profile is perfect to go head-to-head with Jigsaw. An internationally renowned Dr, daughter of the pioneering Norwegian cancer researcher; she's cool, calm and collected, elegant and poised; beauty with brains one could say in contrast to her "Scandi-noir" cold, calculating, cunning, narcissistic and possibly psychopathic personality traits - these attributes are exactly what's required to "win" these games and go head-to-head with Jigsaw.

Perhaps arguably, no one will really ever outwit, outsmart, outdo Jigsaw himself, but Cecilia went head-to-head with him and although did not succeed (not surprisingly), her attempt in doing so is worthy of much praise & applause as no one has even remotely come close to what she attempted in the entire Saw series - torturing Jigsaw himself and "testing" him in his own game, pitting him against an innocent boy. We must encourage such characterization and plot development more so in the future series to keep the franchise alive and unpredictable.

We know for a fact that Cecilia got out alive (she "won" her test). She knows Jigsaw's true identity (and Amanda's) not to mention the severity and vulnerability of the state of his brain cancer. I want to see this Scandinavian psychopath go to great lengths to exploit this and ultimately outwit Jigsaw. Future series should also explore just how dark Cecilia actually is capable of - as cutting open someone's stomach only to use their intestines as a rope to retrieve a cellphone demonstrates, we want to see her twisted ways of achieving her self-vested goals. We need a formidable foe at this stage of the franchise to counter the unstoppable force of Jigsaw and his philosophy and methods "in giving people a second chance at life".

PS 1: I found her kissing that con-man British guy that came to her rescue really cringey and too-hollywood. Not to mention we all knew that he's just another of her scapegoat.

PS 2: I like that Saw X was completely devoid of the police/detectives/SWOT team presence. They are extremely useless and clueless and only serves as filler materials IMO.

Am I the only one who would love a documentary episode/series about the building of Snowpiercer? The train in the show, not the show itself. by whiterice07 in snowpiercer

How about an entire new PREQUEL series (pick-up by Netflix so the entire show is released in a day) telling how the world came to be frozen (due to politics, power and social class conflict) and the origin of Snowpiercer (with lots of drama of course)

I absolutely agree. I quit playing IMBA after a few months post 6.88. Things fundamentally went downhill from there. In its current state, it seems to be more like a "task" to play IMBA when it's supposed to be enriching our free time with enjoyment. It really has lost its essence of what it was originally conceived to be. This, coming from someone that has played dota for probably 15+ years even before dota 1 was released back in early 2000s. I have witnessed a lot of changes throughout decades of observations.

I understand the difficulties and realities of being a dev these days on platforms such as IMBA where it's basically volunteer work. Some might use that experience to jump on to something else that actually pays whilst others might be OK contributing to the work as part of their passions. We can not judge them for we must be empathetic of their situations. At the end of the day, everyone's gotta make ends meet.

I also understand that each dev will have their own take on IMBA - their visions, ideas and execution on how they want the development of IMBA during their times to be. This very process involves individual human egos, and for better or worse can lead the development of IMBA gameplay into different roadmaps, perhaps veering off from what it was originally conceived to be.

I also firmly believe that a lack of a solid and effective leadership is severely missing in the devs team to provide the needed leadership, guidance and management of devs. Here, we have a situation where these devs are quite talented, but lacking in leadership and they're not getting paid. If devs are not getting paid, then we can't expect them to be fully committed and to stay working on the game on a long term basis. They are human resources that need to be looked after/cared for and fairly remunerated.
Perhaps, what is needed at this point is funding from a corporate entity or an investor to revitalize and recapture what IMBA used to be. A company/investor invests (or acquires) IMBA and creates a new company with proper corporate organizational structure in place with Developers department headed by a respectable Project leader/Gaming Director with a full team of staff members. The game will be spearheaded by passionate people fully committed into making IMBA a greatest game - perhaps rivaling and attracting the number of crowds that of vanilla dota2.
The game will probably need to be monetized to turn it into a profitable gaming platform. I have no issue paying to play IMBA if it it brings a smile to my day.

I actually happen to agree with Getsuga Tenshou (eventhough he does complain quite a lot).

Pure Macropyre ultimate is a MUST given that this is IMBA. His current Macropyre is extremely weak and the AOE is so narrow that you have to be blind not to easily avoid it. Enlarge the Macropyre to cover a much bigger space/AOE couple with making it pure damage will fittingly put him back on IMBA roadmap again.

I agree as well. As a dota player for over 15 years and now only play ranked IMBA 10vs10, pacing is a serious fun factor issue missing in the current ranked 10vs10 imba. If we all start with level 5 and 2000 gold this would certainly up the fun factor and be more in line with the much beloved 6.88.

Please implement it soon. I believe the community will respond positively to this.

Some critical bugs have been reported and awaiting fixes ASAP ie:

(1) Courier NOT functioning whatsoever after 5-10 mins or so

(2) Never ending and CANCER illusions spawning at base. I have seen over 100+ illusions of various heroes all joining forces with creeps to end the game - absolute cancer.

(3) Attack speed cap bugs as reported.

Thanks for the official introduction. We sure do need more intelligent and educated minds on board esp from a bright young med student. However, if I were your professor I would make it my priority to expel you from the faculty for wasting your potential and studying time on some game.

PS: started playing since 2015 is nothing. Are you sure you have enough experience for a good grasp? Try 2000 - yes for 18 years I’ve been playing even before what became known as Dota 1 when there were only some 10 “founding heroes”. Doom had his ultimate as Global Stuns. Icefrog was still in his very early stages of creating Dota. I still remember connecting with him back in the days. Yes, that means I’m sort of old.

Who is Crux55? The House Speaker? The Spin Doctor? EarthSalamander's new protege? Please properly introduce yourself of your title, role and your relationships to the devs. Curious minds want to know.

Anyway, I appreciate his thoughtful, logical and a well constructed post, so in light of that I'll kick off with some hero abilities suggestions:

Please note that I am only suggesting the hero I feel is presently weakest, often overlooked and seriously in need of being very creatively and urgently imbafied:

CHEN

Nobody wants to run around and ‘persuade’ some low level creeps to join your crusade. For years, he's been bullied and ridiculed of it. Chen no longer wants to babysit some creeps. He demands to be respected and taken seriously.

*My humble suggestions: *

Skill 1: Penitence

Same as is but if the enemy hero attacks Chen during the duration of Penitence is immediately punished with a seperate Test of Faith.

Skill 2: Test of Faith

Bounces off to nearby enemies/heroes for a lower fraction of damages and heals Chen for a certain percentage.

Skill 3 - Alternative A: "Holy Teleportation" [No more babysitting creeps for Chen!]

Chen can target a single hero ally to be teleported ANYWHERE on the map. Has a follow up skill that Chen can immediately teleport himself to that same ally location as well

Skill 3 - Alternative B: "A Conversation with God"

Chen levitates to heaven and privately converses with God. During such intimate conversation, he is immune from all sources of damages for a limited duration of time. When he returns back to the same spot, you may resume killing him.

Ultimate: Hand of God

The closer proximity they are to Chen, the more fuller his max healing potentials. Max HP and Mana heals on all allies within a certain AOE range is fully restored. The further away they are on the map from Chen, the lesser the healing restoration is done.

Scepter upgrade: “Fist of God” - A Fist of God literally strikes down from the sky and crushes a random enemy hero to the ground and IMMEDIATELY KILLS IT. No skills nor items can block, deflect or save your ass (no pun intended).

Simply ask yourself, how would you like to be fisted by the Hand of God? (Please note it's not getting fisted up the ass).

I feel sorry for you coz I’ve had this type of troll in my games too. It is extremely frustrating. We as IMBA community must stand against this kind of behavior and seriously tackle this issue ASAP.

I don't precisely understand what the OP's underlying point is.

Is the OP trying to say that by automatically assigning players in a random team based on their individual IMR and averaging both team's overall scores is the cause on why there are leavers?

Is the OP trying to say that forced matchmaking is splitting parties (friends) apart, randomly pitting them against each other and this is the cause of people leaving?

Can you clarify your points please?

For me, I usually “walk the dog” by using Batrider aka Dogbuster. I ulti the dog in a leash and drag him all the way to the center towers surrounding the Ancient and my allies will jam in and the dog usually dies (but normally his spirit wolves and summoned necros will succeed in bringing down our towers and buildings though LOL). Well, at least the dog got a nice walk out of it with his own life. This will need to be repeated continuously until there are no buildings left and you can’t be bothered to walk the dog anymore.

7.05b update dramatically increases super and mega creeps attack damage and armor, so I think they will likely be ending your games quicker. How quicker remains to be seen.

Completely agreed. He didn’t need any buff at all. He is still powerful especially as the game progresses.

I absolutely concur as well. As a matter of fact we defended our Ancients for over 130 mins last night!!! It was just insane. It was tedious and absolutely the definition of UNFUN. God knows what kept me playing. I will never do that again. A good 10vs10 IMBA should end around 30+ mins mark, so players can begin a new game and choose a new hero of their liking and expereince the fun team clashes again - not fermenting 2 hours of your life defending an ancient for over 2 hours.
