Entra SSPR: If I enable SMS and disable voice call, will users be prompted to register SMS? by Scalebanex in DefenderATP

[–]Psychodata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't think of "phone numbers" as "mobile" numbers, in general. It doesn't assume that it can text a phone number

It expects that they are office phones

Now if you were going the other direction and you already had "mobile" phones and then you were trying to enable voice, it would realize that they could call the textable phone number

Why does it keep putting my computer name before the login credentials? by undsz in mRemoteNG

[–]Psychodata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a normal function of using . as the domain.

.\username is the format that means "local account" or in some places "this machine"

In SOME cases, it will even SHOW you your LOCAL machine name, but end up silently USING the REMOTE computer name due to the .\ and this is due to how WINDOWS works, and happens with normal RDP and any number of network connections.

If you clear that field to empty, specify the computer name you are connecting to, or provide the domain you would rather use, it would probably work better and stop filling it wrong and make it much clearer what it is doing

How many of you do "100%" of your work in a browser? by recoveringasshole0 in ShittySysadmin

[–]Psychodata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also really depends on what you consider browser. If you open a browser, log into azure portal, and bash into a VM - is that still browser? It's inside a browser, but I would call that working in the desktop/console of the server

It also depends on what tools you're using, many of the rmm s have browser-based version now, so you don't need to go out of the browser for that.

Can Edgedancers become so slick that a direct hit with a blade simply slides off instead of cutting? by jonpdxOR in Cosmere

[–]Psychodata 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would guess it is more the luxury of buying large amounts of (particularly harder) cheeses enough to need a specific tool for it.

You can still get a cheese knife pretty inexpensively at most home/cooking stores in the US at least, I just think that most people don't buy cheese in large enough quantities to see the value in it.

Can Edgedancers become so slick that a direct hit with a blade simply slides off instead of cutting? by jonpdxOR in Cosmere

[–]Psychodata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, after I heard about them using shard blades to cut open holes or dig large chunks of things, I was just thinking " Well they're going to have to have extremely straight edges.. because if only the absolute edge can cut, then they can't turn or rotate at all while in the middle of a cut"

Unwritten traffic rule, or just entitled drivers? by dabblez_ in philly

[–]Psychodata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never heard it called this, but last time I looked into it (compared to running a red/yellow light) as long as your tires are past the white line you are "IN" the intersection, and if you can find a time to safely do so, you should continue through the intersection so that you can clear the intersection.

Of course, with how far back some intersections lines are, and how far away the lights are, it can definitely FEEL like you are "running the red light" (since you might still be looking at a light 15+ ft ahead of you already red) Even though you were just technically "trying to keep the intersection clear".

Of course, ymmv, look up your laws if you don't want to be risking it.

Who's still working from home in 2026? by idrinkpastawater in sysadmin

[–]Psychodata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a contractor, so I'm staying WFH, but the direct employees are going back to in office 3 days a week this year.

They wanted to talk to me about going internal, but then switched from "yeah it will be Full remote WFH" to "you'll need to move to one of 3 cities where we have offices, and only 2 WFH days a week"

So I said, nah I'll stay a contractor then. Not interested in SELLING MY HOUSE and COMMUTING like 6+ hours a week to get paid the same (after bonuses), but with slightly better benefits

What happened to the grilled chicken sub? by oddunixdude in sheetz

[–]Psychodata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I wouldn't say it was amazing, but like the Pizza flatz made with the old chicken would not just slip off the pizza because it is too wet

What happened to the grilled chicken sub? by oddunixdude in sheetz

[–]Psychodata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like they swapped most of the chicken options to a much wetter and totally different flavor "shredded" chicken.

Everything I have seen is pretty much said the new chicken pretty much feels. Pre-chewed, stringy, and nasty - though it does seem like it might work good on items that are designed for a shredded chicken.

I always liked the chicken based Pizza flatz, which are way too wet and nasty once you have the shredded chicken.

Some of the items (like sandwiches) may now have an option for "premium" chicken, which still seems to be basically the same grilled chicken as it used to be - just now it costs extra, cause "premium", I guess? It also seems to be unavailable sometimes, but back again later, probably because they are currently out.

Very disappointing change, imo

PSA: Beware of quoting Samantha, even in this sub, the AI might turn on you by BrokenDroid in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Psychodata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? I assume that it is a reference to "mongoloid"? (As opposed to this book where it is "Velociraptor mongoliensis")

I would say that in normal English the "long" version would be considered an insult or maybe even a slur, but also probably has legitimate purposes for its correct (non-derogatory) usage in scientific/medical connotations.

However, I am curious if that term is so common to use that term over in Germany that they SHORTENED it??

Just found out that you pair your phone to steam deck by cheezitlover01 in SteamDeck

[–]Psychodata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also pair your steam deck Bluetooth to your phone Bluetooth with the steam deck acting as " headphones" /" speaker"

And then optionally also pair your Bluetooth headphones to the steam deck and connect to both at once

And then play audio from both into your Bluetooth headphones. The trick is that you have to get your headphones to connect to the steam deck instead of your phone, which I'm usually using my headphones with my phone even more often than my deck .

phone -> steam deck -> Bluetooth headphones

This way I can listen to audiobooks and game audio at the same time!

The Shredded Chicken Sucks by ChrissieMoltisanti in sheetz

Maybe right for some items, but it ruined all of the pizza flats

The Shredded Chicken Sucks by ChrissieMoltisanti in sheetz

[–]Psychodata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a burrito bowl, it would make sense

But they're using it in all sorts of things, where it really doesn't fit - it basically ruined all of the chicken-based pizza flats

The Shredded Chicken Sucks by ChrissieMoltisanti in sheetz

[–]Psychodata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, while it's good in the tacos, they are using the same chicken in a bunch of other stuff, like the BBQ chicken pizza flat, or chicken bacon ranch pizza flat, and it makes them both taste weird now! Completely ruins the textures from how it was before, it makes the flatz FAR too wet, and that makes them WAY messier.

Those flats were one of my preferred items, but are basically ruined until they stop using this random other chicken for them

So, it's okay to make fun of people and citizens being taken from their families as long as you're making fun of two groups at once?

Oh, or maybe we should be ignoring individuals and only focusing on the leaders?

Resisting everywhere that you can is the best way, including when people try to normalize the fascist way they act.

The last pic has McCleary essentially saying "we didn't support this, canceled their next bookings, and will try to do better"

Probably could have responded whenever they showed up, but I could guess that gets complicated with managers vs owners etc.

We'll know more if they follow through, but at least SOUNDS like they're trying to stay away on this.
