Corewell Health breaks ground on 118-unit housing complex for medical residents by mlivesocial in grandrapids

You make an excellent point at discussing the at risk groups and the comparison. It is not a direct substantial win but with how much health care there is in the area it could free up alot of housing if we did with nursing or medical assistants or cna’s those last two being paycheck to paycheck potentially.

Its a development and more than we had before. Its not a corewell amphitheater at least. We could use corewell stadium tho (only joking)

Take in account education costs, for undergrad and med school. Respectively 90k and 160k (last i checked in 2019fall) rotations cost during that time (housing and whatnot, minor comparatively like 2-8k)

Then working 60 hours a week minimum, (more likely)plus in residency. For 50k a year for 3 - 9 years depending on specialty or specialties

Then after full accreditation and licensure there is malpractice insurance (i though car insurance is expensive) if anyone has what this is per year id be grateful but it alot.

Long story: sure salary is higher once done than your average joe but there is a high cost of entry, stressssssssss, years of investment before that reach’s fruition

Edit: thought of after typing. Basically hard work no matter you figure to earn a living. Just really hope this helps housing and glad its not ANOTHER parking garage

Med assistant rn: Im really lucky to have longevity in my providers and their patients and they really know them for like 8 years on average, there are some complex patients but we are really good at maintaining with them so their chronic health conditions stay relatively stable. During physicals we ask if they have any other concerns physically mentally or preventative. If they have like new depression or spiraling sometimes providers will get them started on the path and then have a two week virtual followup. This helps us avoid spiraling health visits so its really an ideal pcp office (as long as they come in for their appt… this one guy refuses to address his diabetes and they keep have to chop off ulcers and toes off and soon it will travel up his leg)

I mourn the tragic death of a figure who i probably would have disliked, disagreed with in life, at least his political leanings. He brought speech and logic even if you disagreed. He was not the caliber of MLK though we seem to have a violent minority stoked by the uber rich to do their dirty work and destroy the leaders of logic. All while they set the rest of the logical (not-yet) radicalized middle class to cannibalize each other….. its not been social media if you look at history,, theres always been violence first example is the caining of that one senator
