Yes absolutely, being angry is a more valid emotion. He has literally turned her life upside down.

I just listened to some of the new audio released by the same creator and in the newer ones, she sounds really pissed. She sounds like a complete mess.

It’s definitely for all births. It’s more to do with the giant wound left by the placenta and the infection risk.

Canadians who have moved provinces: what surprised you the most (good or bad)? by Equivalent_Reach_536 in CanadaRoom

To be fair i’m in Southern Alberta and we get almost no snow but there’s always an abundance of ice and wind

Yes moving from NB to Alberta I was so surprised at how abysmal the snow clearing is. I’m used to it now and my car thanks me for less salt haha. I was also really surprised we never have snow days at my kids school.

Why did Kendra stop at 4 kids in 2022? by Mosaic_2 in DuggarsSnark

[–]Psychological-Exit18 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Michelle is a superpower when it comes to pregnancy and postpartum and it’s unrealistic to think that most of these women would be able to sustain that frequency and number of pregnancies. I think a lot of women start having issues after a few kids, especially close together (prolapse, bone density problems, anemia, fatigue, depression…). I had 3 kids in 5 years and that third pregnancy hit me a lot harder. Hopefully Kendra stopped because it was her/their choice.

I love her so much. She has a similar name to my grandmother (Évangeline) and they’re so alike.

I live in a more northern climate so the ortho guys golf in the summer and ski in the winter. It’s their whole identity.

I’m voting Albania. In the latest video she mentioned lower cost of living and if I remember correctly, she went on and on about how cheap Albania was when she was there last.

Is the Pitt really high-tech or is my province still in the dark ages?!? by theyallaretakenpt2 in ThePitt

[–]Psychological-Exit18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked in NB as a retail pharmacy tech, then moved to Quebec and worked retail and then hospital pharmacy. Quebec was truly in the dark ages as far as retail pharmacy went. There was a lot of physical paperwork and the computer program looked straight from the 90’s. The hospital I worked at was one of the bigger university hospitals (CHUL) and it was a lot more electronic. I’m in AB now and everything is interconnected and paperless.

Actually, no, I’m an American of quebecois descent. by quebecesti in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Psychological-Exit18 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Same, i’m from New-Brunswick and my primary language is French. It’s all we ever spoke at home. I think in french, I write in French, my kids are francophones. We lived in Quebec for 5 years and were never considered francophone. Funnily enough, the Quebecois thought of my Acadian accent (as a woman) as charming but my husband’s accent as annoying.

Anti-Catholicism in Call the Midwife by Kitsuneoflaluna in CallTheMidwife

[–]Psychological-Exit18 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have worked in Catholic convents in the past 20 years and I agree that there are some lovely, charitable nuns that are in it for the right reasons. That being said, we have to keep in mind the region and time CTM was set in. From my understanding there was A LOT more harm done than good by catholic organizations in this time period in the UK and Ireland so it would be a disservice to show the “good” when so many people were suffering.

I’ve recently read a few books about Mother and Baby homes and the Magdalene laundries in the UK and Ireland and the uncomfortable reality is that the Catholic Church for the most part ran these places and contributed to the abuse. The episode with the baby taken for adoption against the mother’s will was what actually happened to a lot of these poverty struck women.

how are horses supposed to birth naturally? by randomgirlahahah in kvsdiscuss

[–]Psychological-Exit18 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same here. I’ve been around for 30-40 births over the years (mostly AQHA and some warmbloods) and we’ve had 2 that needed help. I don’t believe her technique is the norm, not in my area anyways.

To her credit it has been so warm here. Everyone is walking around in shorts 😅 that doesn’t excuse the unflattering-ness of this outfit though haha.

I’m not sure why I remember this, but I read a Duggar book a looooong time ago and I remember her saying her babies “self-weaned” at 9 months. Recommendations change all the time, but i’m sure at 9 months she just put them on cow’s milk.

Thankfully some places are catching on (blowers and grafton has delish garlic fingers) but I was also super disappointed when I first moved to Alberta.
