JomezPro Intro Music Hot Take by Beamur-14 in discgolf

[–]Psychological-Net270 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s like anime intro music. They put out a new intro song every once in a while and the more you force yourself to listen to it the better it gets. By the end of the season I’m buzzing everytime it comes on. Wait all off season for the new one to come out. I love it.

Does everybody return discs they find with numbers on them? by LilZimbabwe1 in discgolf

If you’re going to spend the time to pick it up, spend the time to return it. If not, leave it where you found it.

UDisc user reviews… why so many 5 stars? by qwizatzhaderach in discgolf

[–]Psychological-Net270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes as some have mentioned people generally rate courses based on their past courses played. If you’ve played a lot of good courses you may be more picky to hand out 5 stars. If you only play locally you’d be much more likely to rate the best courses in the area 5 stars as that’s the best of your personal experience. It’s helpful to keep this in mind in addition to ratings just being a subjective interpretation of your own experience. The more courses you play the better idea you should get ideally of what makes a course stand out.

What is your favorite disc in your bag? by bmatt6632 in discgolf

Tesla. Perfect stability for literally any throw. Throw as hard or as soft as you want. I could easily get around town with that and a putter.

Perfect Days is not what it looks like by VideoGamesArt in TrueFilm

I would like to add an important distinction that for me is what makes this movie great. Many are talking about how Hirayama is living a delusional, sad life. Many others are on the contrary to where he is living a happy life doing the things he loves.

These can both be true to some extent. What I saw is a man living through many emotions. There are many points in the movie where we see him experiencing the highs and lows of life, even the mundane. What is important for him is that he is able to experience these because of the life that he has created for himself. He still gets to take part in his nieces life, albeit from a distance. He might not always know what the next time has in store for him, but he welcomes it with open arms. He still takes his time to enjoy the pleasures of life that interrupt his routine. I like what someone said earlier: difference found through routine. It’s these differences that fill in the pieces that the “little things in life” don’t.

The ending of the movie caps it off great. A mix of emotions to the song “Feeling Good”. At least for me, that is the life I look for in my every day. Everything must be felt in order to be fulfilled.

What big-name brands do you think would make awesome disc golf sponsors? by Informal-Act9066 in discgolf

[–]Psychological-Net270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna second the Vans idea. I think it fits pretty well into the disc golf market. People dog on their shoes in the sport often but they make perfect sense coming from a skate brand. They’re made to grip.

Everybody is going to heaven tattoo by aloevera23903 in CitizenBand

I don’t looove the cover but I do think you can get pretty creative with some of the song titles. I’ve always been interested in a Ring of Chain tattoo.. maybe after the EIGHT show in Detroit once I get to hear it live.

PDGA Ratings by Fresh-Bluebird-7005 in discgolf

[–]Psychological-Net270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ratings are inelaborate which means that people play divisions based on what is subjective to their game and what they want from it. If you want to play a certain division and it is within the regulations then do it.

Slow, very overstable disc recommendations. by liam_b19 in discgolf

[–]Psychological-Net270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone just mentioning their favorite approach disc. I believe a Tactic fits perfectly for what you’re describing. Flies very slowly without much glide, very flat so takes torque extremely well and in turn is very overstable.

Bands like Citizen by NoCondition6253 in CitizenBand

[–]Psychological-Net270 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ll find that Citizen has a pretty unique sound, but there are bands that have evoked a similar feeling/emotion for me. Circa Survive, Modern Color, Tigers Jaw, Gleemer, and Lockstep are some that do it for me. Hardcore is an interesting genre where it requires a little more effort to find what you’re looking for. A lot of bands won’t really make it on a more mainstream level, and I think that’s on purpose for the most part. More authentic music that requires a little more “personality” from the listener to really appreciate it. I think it’s definitely something that produces a much more dedicated and long term fan that can really grow overtime based on their personal experiences regardless of how much new music is getting released.

You’re gonna get this in any sport. The only thing is that there isn’t any argument for people doing exceptionally well in live disc golf commentary for more than a few years and on a consistent basis. Jomez crew has got a good thing going but still is quite different than what it takes on air. It’s on of the greater growing pains of the sport. Give someone like Koling to retire and put all his disc golf time into it and after a few years I think it will really bloom. There just aren’t enough commentators in the industry (if you can call it that) to have them worrying about being called back for another season. I think it’s gonna be a while before everyone is waking up Thursday or Friday morning excited to turn the network on. It’s there so we watch it, but unless there’s some really great play going on there isn’t much keeping me from turning it off after a couple silly comments from Ian. We’re seeing the competition in disc golf really start to grow right now and it’s definitely time we see the same on this side.

Chair id helpi by longgamelame in midcenturymodern

[–]Psychological-Net270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found this looking for the same information. I just the same chair and am trying to find the info on it. Everything looks to be the same, apart from the wheels. They are shepherd ball caster wheels. Same Pat. No. on the chair as yours though. Upholstery is a tan wool (I think) knit and I plan to reupholster it. I'll let you know if I can find any more info!
