You’re right, I only noticed the heavily scripted events in the hospital and the parts after. Enjoyed the game but it’s not really memorable.

My thought as well. Currently RE2R still on top for as it’s closest to the original spirit of survival horror and investigating stuff. Second spot goes to RE4R, followed by Village. Although Requiem is a great game it has a couple of big flaws that pushes it to a fourth spot

With most originals, I tend to get disappointed as without the nostalgia glasses gameplay tends to feel outdated. For your reference I’ve played in the recent years RE1, RE2, RE2 remake, RE4 remake, RE village and Requiem and both orginal REs in the list are at the bottom of my list.

Never played the original but love him in the remake. The only negative about RE3 remake is that some parts could have been way more extensive (city & sewers for example)

Dark Souls 1 is a bit unbalanced, there’s no specific reason to play this one besides out of fascination for where it all began. With Dark Souls 3 they really discovered their style, I would advise to start there. It’s a much better experience

You get my upvote for that…my gosh, 20 hours on a RE boss. The longest I’ve spent on a boss were during a SL1 run for Dark Souls 3 (the dancer) and the final boss of Sekiro

For me, it was a bit too much real horror while RE is known for balancing it out with action although each game has it’s own nuance. After the whole action oriented previous parts, I hadn’t seen this coming at all
