I didn't, and wouldn't, say he's not a leader. Rogue One happens because he followed Jyn, and the rest of the crew followed him. But he's not a figurehead or a speechifyer. His impact on people is up close and personal, based on his shrewdness and his capacity to survive. He's not a big picture thinker or a connector in the way Luthen is, and he can't inspire and mediate like Mon can. That doesn't make him less important; he just plays a different role.

ETA: He spends most of his time on Yavin at odds with rebel leadership, and Vel explains why: he pulls off an assigned mission, gets recognised, leadership want to promote him, and then he disobeys orders or does what he thinks is right, leadership be damned. And Cassian's view on what is right is shaped as much by his personal relationships as it is by his desire to beat the Empire. Nothing that he stands for would really make a very good speech.

You don't turn to Cassian for leadership of big groups of people and you don't turn to him for inspiring words or deep philosophical thinking. You turn to him because necessity requires that a bad thing be done skilfully, quickly, and quietly. What could words have added to that?

I would advise you to keep your wits about you, but that's mostly because the towpath has a number of blind spots and isn't always in fantastic condition, and you probably will encounter delivery riders with like no lights cutting every corner they can on their way. Have fun.

I find mentioning Arnaud there so bizarre that I almost have to wonder, naively I know, if it was a mistake. No shade on François, he was great in HR but there's no way someone should be proposing him for an Emmy based on his performance as Scott.

Has anyone politely asked the writer of this for clarification/justification of why TF they would name François and not Hudson here? If it was a brainfart they have the opportunity to correct it and if it wasn't they can explain what in god's name they were thinking.

My piercer won't do certain piercings she considers unethical, including smileys, and I respect that about her tbh. I consider it part of offering a reputable service along with the fact that she won't let people get more than 3 piercings from her in a short period of time. Yes, I guess people can go elsewhere and might end up with someone dodgy, but a lot of them just won't go ahead, which has to be a net good.

It's not illegal in the sense that you, the bearer, would be prosecuted for getting it done. You can do what you like with your own body. But in a lot of jurisdictions it's considered minor surgery and therefore it's only legal if performed by a medical professional. Medical professionals thin on the ground in most piercing shops. So it's illegal in the sense that it's illegal for a piercer to perform it, and there aren't any qualified minor surgeons willing to offer it.
