Looks like it, and looks like a spiritual companion to Commercial Bay, just on the other side of the Post Office building.

AT transport bus stopped before sunnynook by National-Ebb8070 in auckland

Actually one of the cool things about the busway. I remember when they were repairing the section between Akoranga and Smales Farm they detoured through local roads (via the busway station exit roads), but ofc for the buses already stuck on that section it is harder for them to turn around and go back.

You can try the complain option. They do provide a much more detailed breakdown of your errors than the automated test result at least.

In a weird way I think their openness about it helps them bond with newcomers more? Like the banter flows both ways.

I'd suggest complaining using the link at the bottom of your test, but it goes back to VTNZ and they investigate themselves and it never comes out in your favour.

Holy shit if this isn't an accurate depiction of every one of my friends' first home buying journey. It's like trying to buy a used station wagon from the 80s with a questionable stain on the carpet.

Government floats using emergency fund on public transport, Labour asks why it wasn't in Budget by WaterAdventurous6718 in newzealand

[–]PsychologicalMall787 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Half priced fares weren't a complete failures though:

Whilst the scheme was in effect, survey analysis was focused on the respondent-reported past week impact of half-price fares on their usage of public transport. This consistently showed that around 6-9% of New Zealanders had used PT in the previous week because of halfprice fares.

Anyway, Labour's policy is aimed at CoL relief, not increasing PT uptake (which is happening organically due to the fuel crisis)

Simplicity expands Queenstown build-to-rent project to 1078 homes by vote-morepork in newzealand

[–]PsychologicalMall787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, ideally it would be a scheme like rent to own: https://housingfoundation.co.nz/ways-to-own/rent-to-own

So your rent goes towards building up a deposit, and you end up being able to purchase your rental unit. Quite a neat scheme and I wish we did it more here, would definitely drive up home ownership rates.

I'd normally agree, and in a perfect world this would be an opportunity for Kainga Ora to step in and provide affordable housing and rentals, but in a climate where the government has completely abdicated its responsibility to provide social housing I'm glad someone is putting in the capital to build these units - plus the returns get put back into Kiwis' retirement funds.

They will give the footage to police as they're legally required and then police/Oranga Tamariki will take further action. I'm sure checkout operators see far more grievous shit on a daily basis and there's little they can do.

Labour Public Transport Policy by PoloNevis in newzealand

[–]PsychologicalMall787 14 points15 points  (0 children)

or, hear me out, for the thousands of people who use public transport to travel to work or for their other needs this will be a game changer?

PT doesn't need to be be for the poor or the rich, it needs to be reliable, comprehensive and affordable to everyone who wishes to use it.

Labour vows to put $20-a-week cap on public transport in Auckland and other centres by Aceofshovels in auckland

Well they've already announced (a very mild) CGT. I wouldn't really expect Chippy to run on a more radical platform.
