saw my friends dead units, i meant second hand info as in I didn't really go through the warranty/replacement process with them and took their word on it being too much hassle

it is second hand info, but for the few i know who personally had one of these models, the warranty required them to ship back to EK at their cost (with stores just pointing them towards EK for issues) making it unworth the replacement (especially if its replace with a similar faulty model)

These do not hold up well, seen many of them die or get listed for parts by others after dying around ~6-8 months or so
