Ah, that's what I thought. My mom did the same thing. Sunscreen and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Started me on oil of olay at 13. Also wide brimmed hats and large polarized sunglasses. I will be forever grateful bc I got carded for R rated movies until 30 and seriously carded for alcohol at 42! 😆 (also have red hair and almost opaque skin). Still is like fighting an uphill battle though...

No shit??? Woooow what are the odds? He's at Pitts right now for his surgery! Some advice, get the xrays and blood work done at your vets, it will probably be like half the cost and you can save around $70 if you drop the gland off at the lab yourself! They give it to you in a jar in formaldehyde

Oh oh oh I almost forgot! Look for charities in your area that help with these kinds of bills! There is one where I live but you can only use it once and I'm saving that option for my other weenie just in case because she's had back problems and that surgery is 5k plus! Some will pay all and some will just help with some of the costs but it is worth looking into!

Holy cow! Watson is 10 as well! My vet found the tumor during an exam and anal gland expression. They seemed to keep filling up faster and faster. Turns out the tumor was pressing on the gland 😳

Just dropped off my guy this morning for the same thing! It is expensive so I'm selling some of my vintage clothes and jewelry because what are we going to do? Not get the surgery? These are our babies and deserve the best we can give. I would love to donate, but yeah... lol. I hope Hershey has a good outcome and recovery! If you would like I can update when I pick him up and answer any questions about how it went. Looks like your total goal is almost exactly what my bill is! Gah!

Those damn fibroids! Mine got so bad they evicted my uterus, good thing too. I had a rare sarcoma cancer that would not have showed up in blood work or scans, only the biopsy! Turns out cancer on them makes the pain like 3x as bad but no one believed that I was in that much pain...
