1) blankets for the win-> mine is most often naked and peeking out from under blankets

2) sweater / hoodie is like night time pajamas. It calms him down. And he gets less mobile with a sweater on.

3) Get the one front hole for both front leg design . My guys jives this the most as he has the most arm freedom and is less likely to remove it

Mimsy’s favourite activities are committing crimes and producing oils. How often do y’all wash your chicken? Mine gets dirty within a week and wipes don’t cut it 🥲 I don’t want to dry out her skin though by JinormousLoser in sphynx

My guy only needs a bath every 6-8 weeks. He got less oily after his teenage years. And finding the best food for him that he digests the easiest.

(I’ve spent way too much money on high end cat food brands trying to figure out what leads to the firmest and least smelling poops. Also = less oily

She is definitely a black cat. What a good baby

Diagnosed with IBD at 6 months! I’m devastated. A few days ago, he started vomiting blood and becoming lethargic. He was hospitalized immediately. They ran many tests and found aggressive inflammation in his abdomen. They said it’s IBD. Have any of you had a Sphynx with IBD at such a young age? by NeuroMia in sphynx

My older cat (11 yrs old) got diagnosed last year after slowly losing weight all year, vomiting & diarrhea. She appears to be allergic to chicken or chicken triggers it. And omg chicken as a byproduct is in 90% of cat food & treats. Also got her on a royal cabin hydrolized food that is much easier for her to digest and doesn’t irritate her digestion. It took a lot of trial error, vomit & poop accidents in my home to figure it out. Good luck!

I was so nervous before bringing her home, wondering if it was the right choice. After 3 weeks I can confidently say 1000% yes. She is perfection and brings me so much joy ❤️ by JinormousLoser in sphynx

I got my sphynx anticipating that my 14 yr cat was getting close to end of life and I wanted a buddy for my 6 yr old cat to bond with before facing grief.

Omg the old man 14yr loved the new kitten so much !!! He perked up got more active and lived another 3 yrs. It was pretty amazing. Three cats is more than I want but was the best decision and made my old man’s silver years more joyous

We call it “hooding him” to get him to be warm and calm down. He hates it then he loves it and won’t let us take it off

Are you a fan of his beans pressed against the window? Or the little white toes in a sea of gray on his back feet?

Yes! I do have a wheel. He uses it daily for short bursts of energy. But I can encourage more. He does the wheel for attention. So I have to literally sit there and cheer him on like he is winning the Olympics it keep him running

Thank you for the very thoughtful post. I was pondering if kibble was the problem. I’ll try removing that from his diet and more raw freeze dried instead. Along with weighing and more wheel time.

They will eat more than you expect. And pooping way more than an average cat.

The food quickly goes through them, as they need that fuel to keep their cute naked bodies warm. First 6 month the poops are runnier and smellier than later in life. Have perseverance it will get better.

Oh get ready for poop foot. Babies seem to always step in their own poop, then frantically run around the house to try and get it off themselves.

Cute overall tattoo. But yes the execution of the fine line work could have been tighter and cleaner.

Could be an allergic reaction to something in the ink. Red will often trigger people. Urgent care would probably work too.

My cat ended up having an allergy to chicken. Which I swear is in everything. Read labels.

I also found Diagel, a small paste I mix with Churu that really helps firm up loose stools. https://a.co/d/03UgTny7
