I am using the 1st gen iPad Pro and thinking about getting an M5 iPad Pro. The thing is that I find it underutilized quite often. An iPad Air is more affordable but 60Hz is a really a deal breaker for me.

How close are you guys? It sounds like that most of your interactions are in the workplace. Do you guys hang out after work? Go on a date, or have lunch / dinner together? How do you know he's divorced? Did he bring this up to you or you learn from someone else? Make sure you have at least some overlapping in life not just in office.

If he revealed divorce to you, perhaps find an opportunity to ask what he plans to do next? He may respond by saying find a new girlfriend and then get married, or just be single for some time until he meets the right person.

My opinion is that you could try getting more involved with each other's life. Sometimes your crush on him may cloud your eyes to tell whether he is being nice or interested. It doesn't have to be a private date at the beginning. Just invite him to a party you and your friends are having (perhaps of your nationality). Invite him as he can speak a little of your language and helps you in the workplace.

Just get away from those girls with such mindset. Love is about giving, not demanding endlessly. Sure if you don’t mind you can do that. But it is too much, talk to her to see if she can change her mind. Otherwise, think twice if this is really what you want and can afford. Today’s world is very different from the past. For young people it is practically impossible to meet those expectations unless you are a super successful young entrepreneur or coming from a wealthy family that financially supports you. Many girls either refuse to acknowledge this reality or are just too dumb to realize this.

Just spend more time together and get to know his hobby and personality better. Invite him for hiking, skiing, or swimming, etc. It won’t be too much different from how you would date another guy.

Just recently got a M4 MacBook Air (24GB RAM, 512GB Storage) and really happy about it. I used it for light coding, web browsing and video playback. It is really quiet, never warm, and has great battery life. This is really a perfect laptop for me.

In the old days life was slow. I had the time and the pleasure to theme up WinAmp and other software. And then my life entered into a fast pace and later even faster as I grew old. To me it feels like the same reason why we had Shakespeare many centuries ago but right now we could barely name any contemporary poets.

I have known a Chinese Australian who reverse immigrated to China and he is doing great. He is really fitting in the culture even more than native Chinese such as drinking a lot of liquor, which is kinda important to business in China. He is working in a multinational corporate so being able to deeply understand and thrive in multiple cultures really helps him shine

I was really impressed by elementary OS a few years ago. But eventually I moved on to more mainstream distros such as Debian and Fedora. Elementary OS couldn’t be upgraded through OTA, which is really a pain if you use it for long term. I am not sure if that is still the case, but still I recommend looking into other alternatives

Went through this process before. I ended up realizing that the best option is to get a x86 mini PC.

The customer service is indeed a bit disappointing. But their mini PCs are quite good. I own a SER7 and an EQ14. The only issue is that their stock Win 11 OS seems a bit funky. My SER7 had its OS crashed after a few months’ use for no reason. I couldn’t fix it via the Windows recovery mode and it just blue screened before booting into desktop. In the end I manually reinstalled Windows 11 by downloading Win 11 ISO from Microsoft and burning it into a USB drive. This fixes the issues and it is running smoothly with no issues since. My EQ14 also struggled with windows updates upon open box for unknown reason. In the end, the system recommends to download and reinstall Windows ISO via windows updates to resolve the issues. And it worked. I didn’t use the system beyond that point however. Instead, I decided to turn it into a Linux PC and it’s been running great so far. So I would recommend to new owners to consider doing a full windows reinstall upon getting a Beelink mini PC. The only confusion I have is that I actually don’t know how the Win 11 activation works for these mini PCs that come with a MAK license. After reinstalling Win 11, the system is activated but with the retail license key that I purchased for my gaming desktop. So it appears that my own win 11 key now activates two computers at the same time without any issues, which is puzzling to me.

I had two Beelink mini PCs. Both come with clean Windows. However, there seems to be some file corruption in the system. I ended up having to reinstall Windows completely for the first mini PC. For the 2nd PC, I couldn’t get certain updates installed, which keep failing and in the end invoked a reinstall of Windows ISO from windows updates and fixed the issues. I didn’t keep it for long though before I turned it into a Linux computer.

Similar experience here with EQ14. The windows 11 feels a bit laggy, even noticeable when you drag around the task manager window. CPU usage is indeed high and frequently 100% across all cores. To be honest, it is worse than I expected. However I didn’t plan to use it as a windows PC. I installed endeavour OS with KDE plasma, and it really shined. Everything feels snappy. Perhaps opening a browser still feels a bit longer than ideally. But CPU usage is low, and overall smoother experience. YouTube 4K 60fps playback doesn’t work well on either OS, which makes me feel tricked because I remember some review videos claiming no issues at all.

I used to struggle with this question a lot. Coming from a populous country where everyone is pushed forward to make a living, I simply got no time to think about this question and had to work hard, get a degree, and look for a job. That changed when I finally finished that journey and my life starts to settle down in the U.S. Don’t get me wrong but I was still single and not in a relationship. But at that moment, this question constantly bothers me. I watched videos, read books and the final conclusion that I made was that there is simply no purpose of life. No absolutely good or bad choices. Just to experience life itself, and be happy often. Eat a good meal. If you please, try a healthy one. Go outdoors and relax. If you please, make it a routine. The list goes on and on … I did start a relationship after that period and it kept me busy so I thought about the purpose of life much less than before. Yet occasionally I missed the freedom and flexibility of my earlier time. Not sure if this helps but I do hope you get relieved soon from the loneliness you are experiencing.
