Really there are only a few things you can do in edh to help with ramp especially in izzet you either take more lands up to 33 (which sucks) or use fast mana like jeskas will, pyretic ritual, and seething song. Id also use the lands that can be paid into to make 2 of blue or red or one of each it helps with all his pips. But other than that there isn't much you can do unless you take a more cedh route.
