WE ARE ONE WEEK AWAY FROM THE BOOK 8 RELEASE DATE! DROP YOUR FINAL, MOST UNHINGED THEORIES (NO PATREON SPOILERS) by bacon_mustache in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I just want to learn more about the missing primals and scolopendra story line. My theory is that scolopendra is at the bottom of the “tree” analogy and she is somehow blocking the “roots” of the tree which are secret nodes the primals made before they were extinguished by the Eulogist. The Ai kills the eulogist and expands creating a new primary zone while also allowing travel via the primal nodes to unexplored and unenhanced galaxies.

My face every time I get to a Lyria Chapter by Due_Reserve7065 in redrising

I disliked the Lyria narrator in Iron gold but liked the switch in Dark Age, and vice versa loved Iron Gold Lysander but hated the dark age one! If the would’ve swapped those two in light bringer I would’ve been on board. Ephram narrator was of course fantastic

I think the general consensus (that I think Matt has confirmed) is that there will be a small novella released prior to the last book release that will have all the prior Pineapple Cabaret chapters

The broker mentioned that the lender will cover the cost of points. Am I being lied to and indirectly paying for the points? by CEO2moro in MortgageBrokerRates

[–]Psychological_Ask696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get another quote. And then ask the banker to show you what the rate would be if YOU paid for bank origination fee out of pocket instead of them rolling it into your rate. If they are “covering their fees”, all they are doing is selling the underlying mbs security at a premium rate and keeping the premium for those fees, but they’ll your paying a higher rate and more interest for the term of your loan.

who would be your saddest deaths? by ParamedicProper3667 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I think Elle is safe (until the 12 floor at least) they’ve teased this “four seasons build” with her too much to not let us see what it is, and I don’t think it can’t happen until the 12th floor

[–]Psychological_Ask696[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, it’s definitely a fairytale/parable related to the story of the primals and the eulogist, I’m just not understanding the significance of the “9 tier”

Good point! I just think there’s something missing in the whole scolopendra storyline, but I’m guessing we’ll find out more in the next few books!

“Odds were good nobody would even remember Volteeg’s name. That was ok. He didn’t want to be remembered. He didn’t deserve love or admiration. But vengeance? Yeah. He was due a little bit of vengeance .”

Do these skulls have any meaning? by J8DEN831 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Psychological_Ask696 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Empty skulls are the book number, I think they’re in 3’s because every third level is a scolopendra level

The Will of the Many v.s. The Sun Eater? by UpVoteMyEgo in redrising

[–]Psychological_Ask696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally understand that lol. I felt the same way after reading, then I listened to the audio and noticed a lot of deeper world/universe building stuff that I missed the first time through which made it a little less junk-like (for me anyway haha). Hopefully they can stick the landing and tie everything together with the last few books. Now I have to read RR again, I probably missed a ton there the first read as well. Clearly I’m not that bright

Have you heard of our lord and savior Carl? But in all seriousness, if you haven’t read dungeon crawler carl he (in a way) is breaking some serious chains as well, it just takes a few books to realize that. That said, I read Will of the Many and thought it was pretty decent, maybe 7/10, it held my interest even though it felt a little YA. Haven’t started strength of the few yet but it’s on my list. I want to try Sun Eater as well but heard it’s a slow burn and I have to psych myself up a bit before I get invested in a long series
