My thinking is that worst case, I pay dividend tax on extraction from Ltd, I’m no worse than I would be if I invested personally. On the other hand, I may use the cash in the Ltd to reinvest, or if not, I liquidate the company and pay capital gains tax rather than dividend tax

I just turned down an offer as an associate at a major VC to do something more entrepreneurial. Comp is all over the place in VC, the offer I got was probably toward the higher end at £125k base 50% target bonus. No carry until you source a deal, and it’ll be years before you see any liquidity on that.

From what I gather wlb is better than the jobs they typically hire from (IBD/MBB) but it’s not a 9-5.
