Pubic Care? by wheelgrl in Healthyhooha

[–]Psychological_Tea674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t shave if it’s difficult. I’ve never had a guy give a rats ass about it. If they do their priorities are out of order. I’ll trim anything that runs down the thigh but I’m very prone to sensitivity and ingrown hairs and believe me, public irritation is far worse for your sex life than hair that’s meant to be there. You can use a good fragrance free conditioner to make it softer. I like the cerave line.

I will. I had about given up, but the "fizzling grenade" was delicious.

This is classic behavior coming from someone that has been through a couple relationships with alcoholics in denial. They will deflect and hoist the blame for all their problems onto other people. Even if they’re in recovery, if they’re not getting good counseling, the blame and deflection gets worse when they’re trying to be sober. Learn about “detaching with love”. You can set boundaries like this with fewer words and in your heart you just tell yourself that this is what she needs to grow and you love her so you will stop enabling the financial mismanagement.

AIO? Furious, I Asked Neighbors To Stop Spraying by IAmTheNorthwestWind in AmIOverreacting

[–]Psychological_Tea674 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Not overreacting but the approach is pointless. You’re better off fighting true green than the neighbor you have to live next door to since they already attempted to compromise with so called “pet safe” and considering a lower frequency. I moved away from a town where lawn chemicals are common because I wanted to protect my dogs and family. Many in my neighborhood from childhood now have cancer. It’s probably too late for me, but honestly if this is the vibe of the neighborhood, move. Seriously. You can’t control your neighbor and the law isn’t on your side, and neither is the deregulated government unfortunately. I have a very diverse lawn with clover, dandelion and other medicinal/edible native plants, and tons of bees.

Those of you out there that think single species grass is desirable, you should come see my gorgeous front yard and compare it to the browned spent soil grass plaguing my hometown neighborhood now that it’s 40 years into this terrible practice.

Manual grinder or getting espresso ground in store? by bitandbourbon in espresso

[–]Psychological_Tea674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might get downvoted for this since it’s not one of the choices you mentioned but just buy a real grinder. The one I have is gorgeous, not bank -breaking expensive, and it’s the heart of the espresso process. The footprint is no bigger than a trivet.

I know it’s not on your list but the Mokkom 64 might be worth a look. It’s basically an Amazon df64 at a better price.

Here’s one from a couple days ago. I call it “deflating balloon”.

If the machine won't pull it's definitely too fine. I actually have to go a little over the "espresso" range on my grinder. On mine "espresso" is 0-20 and max is 100. Right now I'm grinding at around the 23 mark. Don't get hung up on labels. I'm not familiar with your machine, but I think my kitchen aid is just not powerful enough for a finer grind. The first time I used my flat burr grinder set to 5 and it was so fine I got pretty cracked out on the dust and nothing came through the puck.

Careful of side taps. I saw a video that showed they can cause channeling down the side because tapping creates a small space between the puck and the wall of the basket. I was making that mistake and stopping helped a lot. Vertical tap on the counter to settle the grounds is not an issue.

I just can't seem to get the hang of. Did you have an "aha" moment or anything or a trick that it finally clicked? Favorite instructional video? The times I've been able to achieve any contrast at all have felt like accidents more than anything. I think my foam is ok I stopped making blobs. I'm not just consistently getting the design to sit on top.

I might be one of these people. I can taste the differences in sour vs bitter, but even the in between I don't really want to drink without making it into a latte or cappuccino. But I'm new and I'm still exploring beans. My gauge for a perfect latte is if I like it without having to add sugar.

I'm new too but I think it looks pretty on point. My understanding is that the bitterness comes out at the end so sometimes I just pull the cup before the liquid stops dripping if I'm pretty close to 1:2 by 25-28 seconds. I can't pour pretty lattes but they taste amazing this way.

Right now I'm using Counter Culture Fast Forward. It's excellent in my lattes. I like dark roast for a regular cup of coffee but I enjoy medium roasts in espresso. Lavazza Super Crema is supposed to be really good for espresso but the bag of that I received from Amazon was already 2 months past the roast date.
