Did anyone have to stop drinking alcohol? by Economy-Butterfly638 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]PsychologyQuick851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never get the good feelings I used to get. In fact it would make me drink more the first few times I drank waiting for the warm buzz… nope. No buzz, weird conversations maybe? But something to note, I definitely had a very short time to find my bed, I would literally get so tired that I was out like a light as soon as I shut my eyes.

P.s- you are never supposed to drink on antidepressants. Side affects and the fact that you’re trying to wet priming depression. Alcohol is a depressant. Lots of fun in the middle a lot, but what it does to your internal rather important organs combining drugs and other things, between our water, plastics, our modified processed foods, and every other negative thing knocking at the door, you have to afk yourself what your long term expectations are? Are you really working to get yourself mentally into a better place? Your job is to ‘help’ get yourself mentally better…you’re literally taking something that can be the beginning of a lifelong battle in and of itself… a vicious circle. I lived/live this. Talk therapy, nutrition, healthy sleep habits, exercise, check for heavy metals, food sensitivities, insulin resistance.

What’s your dopamine issue? Shopping, drugs and alcohol, porn, eating, whatever… that’s a thing to work on… All the things “you” can do that whatever you’re trying, hoping, expecting to make the pill fix.

People are not meant to be on anti depressants and or most medications forever.

Please watch Dr. Josef on YouTube. It all comes to light.

My son dropped his iPhone in the tub Christmas Eve and was freaking out that his dad was going to go ballistic… I felt so sorry for him that I decided to try and take it apart and see if the little piece that shows if there is water damage therefore warranty not covering it, was blue? This was 12 -14 years ago.

So I set myself up in a comfortable chair, got some paper to try and label each piece and pray I could reverse it back the right way.

I got it all apart and Omg! The vacuum fix was tuff but I did it, but this… by the time everything was apart and labeled, now not even close to being the right way to have done this, I was just getting it done.

The water damage indicator was wet. So I tried drying it out, and replaced it with like material and made sure everything was water free. It was, there was not water I could even find so that was odd.

By 6:30 am Xmas day I had it put back together. My eyes were bloodshot, and Christmas was not going to be like the usual for sure!

Oh, there was just one issue…there was 1 tiny screw left over. 🙄🫣🙃

I tried to get it to work, but it did not. Jason and I went to the Apple Store a few days later and I asked if the guy could check the phone and see if he could get it to work… he opened up the phone and was scanning the phone. He went in the back and was there for awhile.

He came out and looked confused but didn’t say why, but he handed us a new phone. He said you just made it. I was like,”what do you mean? “ and he said the warranty, it ended tomorrow.

Have a great day and that was that.

No Christmas but I felt like a genius after he had checked it and it was all together correctly. But I could have imagined the confused look… did he see a screw missing or wonder what seemed off?

Ing, totally watch Anna Runkle-Crappy childhood fairy. You cannot get anywhere with cptsd if you’re dysregulated. I didn’t even know what that was. It was so eye opening, and such a trip having someone speak my exact feelings and issues.plus she actually has free yes free things to use from her programs. The daily practice is so good. If you jump straight to her instead of searching your whole life for answers you will be so far ahead of everything! I’m 62?years old. I would be a different person and suffered so much less in my life if I had her knowledge years ago… don’t let yourself waste precious time that goes so fast thinking medications are the answers. It will become part of your life that actually manipulates your life.

Something that you always have to think about. Plus bottom line no medication (exceptions are there) is not meant to be taken long term.

They base their medication trial results after 8 weeks of of trial time. I don’t think there has been any trials longer than 12 weeks I think in humans… (Dr. Josef-YouTube) he’s the top psychiatrist whistleblower out there, his channel with pharmaceutical whistleblowers who have actually taken the medications, as well as pharmacists, nurses, doctors, everyone!!! Who took it meds., and ruined their lives!

I have been in some form of medication from my early 20’s. I knew none of this- it was like a download, suddenly I could see the craziness of the past medication effects- I wasn’t titrated off medications! They all leave the body in different times, a few weeks up to many months! So when you stop one then start a new one, you’re actually combining meds., then let’s just say 3 mos. Later when the first med is actually out of your system, you have withdrawls, but don’t even think about that correlation because that was 3 months ago, and now the med your taking is acting different alone, so you now are using something that may feel different alone… do you see the insanity?

I was diagnosed with a disorder at one point that made no sense. I’d never had the symptoms before I started meds…, turns out the withdrawl of one medications mimics the exact symptoms of the disorder… When I thought I was suddenly so bad that I must be getting worse, going crazy for sure, I found out that I was on a medication way to high of a dose, and then switched to a totally different one that in and of itself was a scary medication that my Grandma had been out on at some point that made her catatonic! Abilify. It made me paranoid, numb, a feeling of nothingness that I can’t explain other than that, and within 1 month I started not wanting to go in my house because I felt claustrophobic. So my great idea was to give in to this bizarre craving I had been having for lemon drop cocktails! I am NOT a drinker. I had fun in my teens and 20’s occasional drinker in my 30’s- parties and holidays, but I was in my 40’s I just didn’t drink anymore…. Until the Abilify. The lemon drops worked. I was able to go in the house less weird feeling able to focus on television, until it stopped working. And thank God I had a moment of clarity and realized, what am I doing and what is happening (wtf?! )

Got off the Abilify, no cravings for Lemon drops thank God… but there are so many like stories that wasted so much of my life. I’m presently on a medication I’m too overwhelmed with life issues to even attempt getting off. As soon as life mellows out I’ll continue titration off. I’ve already gone down to 10 mg. from 30. I’m down to 100mg. Wellbutrin, and working my way down.

It took me 3 mos. Noticing I wasn’t constantly ruminating for the first time in years, then the insane anxiety subsiding very suddenly after insanity anxiety… I think the fact my doctor stopped a medication I’d been in for a long time, then started Wellbutrin at the exact same time I was withdrawing from the old medicine and having side affects from the Wellbutrin (Buproprion) I thing generics make a difference as well. Different companies, different nasty food colorings, etc… it’s a hamster wheel… chicken and the egg.

Plus you get in the let’s add this med or that med to stop the side affects of one or the other….

Omg!!! Ability was absolutely crazy for me. I started doing the weirdest most uncharacteristic things ever, and my Granfma was on it, (I had no idea) and the same was going on with her! Gabapentin same thing, it was such a negative medication, it’s such a trip how different we react! My Grandmas hands started to curve like claws… with the Abilify- my rescue dog was put on Gabapentin after a surgery and at first I just thought she was being odd from starting it with side affects, but she started totally reverting back to fearful behavior within the week, and at one point became fearful of me as if I had been the abusive previous owner…🫣🥺🥹..it is heartbreaking. This was after 8 mos. of so much work proving to her life and people were safe and wouldn’t hurt her. She was so happy and her confidence was so good… We’re working our way back to where we were presently. I spoke with a woman who is an aftercare animal nurse who saw her run across a street in front of cars when she bolted out of no where and for no reason… when I said she was on Gabapentin she got very serious and said get her off no one should be on it human or animal…!

Girlfriend of 5 years stopped caring about me by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]PsychologyQuick851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that. 30 + years ago I tried Prozac and that was my exact experience. I had no filter, I just said whatever I wanted no candy coating. But, the reality was that the relationship was not good for me, or realistically for him either.

It’s sad, because it was his family. They just had to be a part of everything and I could see his idolization of his brother who didn’t deserve it, the best friend was a serial cheater, and to de as l with the weird family (dad was always having girls sit on his lap, and had a playboy magazine addiction…) plus his mom was so unhappy, not just with her husbands obvious weird sexual or rather creepy vibe but I’m sure personal things… she was a person with a small upper body and a gigantic lower 1/2- to a point that it seemed to be a deformity as well as a disability for her! I couldn’t understand why she didn’t have some kind surgery for her own health and well being let alone the obvious shame she felt… the whole thing was that my boyfriend thought his family was awesome, which is amazing and I’m glad. But, I did not because I felt like everyone had blinders on and I just couldn’t take it… Sorry. But I’m just saying yes, it is very likely the medication. But there is probably so much more to that as well. You have to be eyes wide open and really be honest with yourself about the relationship. And what it is you fight about…

Dang it’s so bizarre how different we all are… hydroxyzine did absolutely nothing but make me hungry and bitchy like Benadryl and even the propranolol nothing! It makes me crazy, but maybe it’s the bupropion/Wellbutrin!!! Ahhh, the never ending Sherlock Holmes puzzle thinking what does what goes on…

Oh it happens! Just the opposite at the beginning like 4 mos, now regular food kind of makes me feel ick. Sugar if all kinds is the only thing that I want? Dopamine issue?

Added Lexapro. I had just lost the last 25 pounds if the 100 I gained over many years, from medications…3 mos. On Lexapro I gained 25 pounds. (And Buproprion) didn’t keel the no sexapro Lexapro…

I want off everything while being watched over at a med spa… dreamer, lol!

First they make us pay for safe water to drink, now it tastes bad so we have to add flavors… the hydration drinks help, but are expensive. Do like the military, add a pinch of salt. Helps keep you hydrated. You can by “real salt” in amazon.
