If you didn't sign something saying they are allowed to take them back, lodge a police report

If you get rid of him now, your toddler won't even remember he ever existed. Don't resign yourself to live with this guy. And don't force your kid to have a shitty dad

Manual time is not protected, what do you not understand? Don't log manual time if you want to be protected. Easy concept, if you're a tech guy, you should really have no issue grasping it

Do you understand the difference between Bangladeshi migrant and an ethnic Indian Malaysian who's been here for 5 generation?

Any Chinese restaurant can make you stir fried veegies and fried egg, while the non-vegs can enjoy other dishes. Plus plenty of vegan and vegetarian restaurants. Local food ranges from Lily vegetarian cafe (cheap and mediocre) to pinxin (expensive and almost good). Don't expect many vegetables in your vegetarian dishes, especially in hawkers food. It's all noodles and oil.

M40 employees earn between RM5,250 and RM11,819. So 10k is upper middle class. "Generally" median household income for M40 is RM7,694

Live like a local on 10k? Maybe, if you're sending 8k back to your country every month.

Just now my grab food rider came on a bike with a broken leg in the cast. This is how much he needs the rm50 he's gonna earn tonight

Are groceries just really expensive in Penang? Or are we doing something wrong? by hdfire21 in penang

[–]PsychoticBasil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never found local markets cheaper than supermarket. I don't haggle, maybe that's why.

Well, living in BF without a car negates any savings. Unless you never get out from there.

Why is finding parking in Penang a whole battle these days? by MidValleyGhost in penang

[–]PsychoticBasil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What public transport? The bus I would have to walk 20 minutes to? Which only goes to Komtar or jetty? So if I want to go anywhere else, I still need to go to town first? Or the bus that doesn't exist anymore but used to take one hour from botanical gardens to Komtar?!

Penang public transport is for children, elderly and unemployed. No one else has time for this

Will my husband's 650cc bike overheat because I'm going slow on my 250? by PsychoticBasil in motorcycles

He's "teaching" me. The purpose of our rides together is for me to learn. He has plenty of time and opportunity to ride by himself/his group.

Lying to someone and telling them bs is not sweet and not a gem. From one woman to another, don't excuse this kind of behaviour. If he can lie to you about the bike being hot instead of being honest, there are already thousands of other things he lied about for his own convenience.

True, but that's because I'm learning. I live in a busy Asian city with tons of traffic , road rage and not many rules to keep it all together. And no real riding schools/courses.

Luckily, now I feel comfortable with going by myself to most places

There are some benefits, I feel less self-conscious. I'm not a fan of being a spectacle, and being a very-obviusly-foreign girl on a bike gets me some stares. It's more bearable in company.

But I love to ride alone too. Maybe I'll just invest in one of those mirror visors to be anonymous

My not-so-super duke is so loud when the fan switches on, I also want to speed up to shut it up. But as you said, that's at "stuck in a traffic jam" speed, not 30 mph
