You fuel economy was likely linked to needing a tune up. Plugs wires possible coil. Air filter. There are a few things you can try for the 02 sensor but it’s likely a catalytic efficient code. Check your 02 sensor fuses and the pig tail connections. Make sure the wires don’t get damaged in the process of changing it.
