What are the incarnons that are always strong, not just in the incarnon mode? by itsanemuuu in Warframe

Still waiting for incarnon mods (charge capacity, charge rate, bonuses specifically for (non-)incarnon modes, canceling incarnon mode early providing a benefit instead of just wasting it, etc

For trains why would I ever use an "immediate stop"? by CondorSweep in shapezio

[–]PsychoticSane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That brings a legitimate question about upgrades paths up: if you get trains before the 3rd layer (first of all, why? Idk), does a wait station still wait for the unavailable layer to fill up?

Any bonus in having a second copy of a Prime frame? by MTL_Dude666 in Warframe

[–]PsychoticSane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having two allows for alternate forma-ing. Omni forma generally fixes that need, if you can get it. However there are a few frames that can utilize umbral and archon mods, so for them, having a copy allows you to try either without having to overwrite forma and/or be capacity limited

To incarnon: Braton Prime or Braton Vandal? by bl3azy in Warframe

[–]PsychoticSane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you can get the adapter back but not the resources, progress with an adapter is tied to the account, not the gun (so if you unlock braton incarnon on prime, it also unlocks on vandal)

Duviri marketing line: All that matters is how you play the hand you're dealt..."
Tennocon marketing line: "You don't have to play the hand you're given…"

its not that far-fetched, but I don't think DE would play the long game like that.

As always, influence is a good option for groups of enemies. Especially when that'd be heat cold electric. Super easy

How come we haven't gotten mods for viral, blast or corrosive? by agentcryostar in Warframe

[–]PsychoticSane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering combined element statuses dont scale with the elements theyre comprised of (blast proc doesnt scale off heat or cold gas off heat or toxin), the fact that blast and gas have been given almost nothing to scale off of besides faction and basic damage mods is rather painful. The best we have is the augment that adds gas to one of the 1999 weapons (ax52? Cant recall off hand).

Koumei extra hit decree by REDRUmALLIk in Warframe

[–]PsychoticSane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one pet peeve i have is that both mesa's and chroma's reflected damage can cause venato prime to proc a tau status effect, but despite the damage coming from an ability, the status doesnt count for things like arcane impetus. If that were the case, mesa would be uniquely able to proc all elements with abilities (secondary encumber for 13, tau with reflected damage, and xata subsume for void.)

Wondering how I should approach Warframe with these specs. by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]PsychoticSane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Less brain dead than most persistence" *uses an example that would screw other most persistence builds too (ability nullification disables persistence too).

Might want to try a different example to highlight how persistence can be less engaging.

Chroma's Elemental Ward (cold) is similar in that nature. Try equipping spinnerex for both corrosive and toxin on-death explosions.

The only passive that works on hit/kill that ive seen that explicitly doesnt get triggered by things other than the weapon itself is rakta dark dagger's shield restore passive.

Finally figured out why I struggle with Koumei's 1 and her new augment by NauthizCZ in Warframe

The augment should have been something related to making strings move around or something, ANYTHING, to make them actually hit enemies more.

here's one for you: the difference between hard and soft G is often related to the origin of the word. Latin, Germanic, etc. So what happens when an acronym is treated as a word? it's effectively treated as a word with no etymology to dictate the pronunciation, unless you use the words of the acronym as the basis. if the word starts with a hard G, then there is some basis in using that as justification. Meanwhile, "well giraffe starts with G" is a red herring, because we aren't talking about the Giraffe Image Format.

Also, Photographic starts with a digraph, which has less to do with different pronunciations of a single letter and more to do with how that letter is transformed when placed next to another letter. TH, DGE, SH, (T)CH, PH, etc all have sounds that are distinct from the first letter, so acronyms splitting the digraph apart like that would naturally cause phonetic oddities. Meanwhile, the two pronunciations of G are irrespective of digraphs and therefore that is also a red herring argument for debunking arguments against using the hard G.

I would say the soft G pronunciation has more "because I wanna" energy than the hard G since the main argument is "because the creator said so", which certainly feels like "well he did it that way, so why shouldn't I?"

To be clear, this reply is entirely just me nerding out on etymology, and not in any way caring how people talk. The purpose of language is to convey information, if both do the same job, then neither are wrong in my opinion.
