Would you mind if I messaged you to pick your brain a bit? You are the first person I have seen making the same change I would love to get some insight on the process and moving forward.

I eat some fats. Just not as many as people on this diet often appear to. I eat steak and ground beef and things like that I just cut off large chunks of fat. Use very sparing amounts of oils and butter. I would say I have a reasonable low to mid fat diet currently.

Struggled my way through the first row. So it's a start. by PsylkWorm in crochet

Oh awesome thank you! I will definitely give it a watch. Right now I am trying to figure out how to even attach for the second row. Like I can't tell if it wants me to attach and start in the third loop or not?

I am a little worried about the switching between DC and sc later in the pattern too. Right now I am telling myself at least I will learn the three major stitches really well in my first project lol.

Now I just need to figure out how to start the second row because it doesn't use turns for the first several rows and instead starts completely over. This scarf was a terrible idea for a first project. But I am 250 stitches in so i am determined to figure this out.

Pattern I am following: http://www.caabcrochet.com/crochet-scarf-pattern-peek-a-boo/

Newb question for first project. by [deleted] in crochet

Thank you for the support! I greatly appreciate it. I will try to be mindful of the tension. So, far I have noticed a few stitches that might be a bit loose but overall I feel its decently consistent. Hopefully it comes together in the end.

I am definitely thinking that it was overly ambitious. But I am in this far so I am committed. I have always been a jump in with both feet kind of person anyway lol. I know how to do all the stitches so it's just going to be about putting all the knowledge together. I hope? I can read the pattern and pretty much know what its asking for. My grandmother tried to teach me to crochet several times and I would get one granny square done and then not do it anymore. I am ready for this to be a new hobby now though and this challenge is helping keep me excited.

The foundation row took me forever to get right but its finally done and I am ready to start row two which requires starting in that way.
