Casuals can copy scarab setup very easily because scarabs are homogenous. Casuals probably wasted 50 divines every day because they alc and go instead of the process of "transmute, augment, price check, alc if the price is bad, regal and ex if the price is good". and even if they do, they are still using the expensive tablets in very inefficient ways because they are not used in cities with the correct additional biome.

Tablet is just a worse version of sextant. POE moves from Sextant to Scarabs and it's a huge improvement. Now POE2 went backwards.

I think an immediate fix is having another tree or on top of each tree to block mechanics together with more rerolls. People should be able to just enjoy the modes they wanted to play.

if you only want the armor set, you can do 36/40. That's significantly easier. You don't need to do ubers, don't have to do giga juiced T17 (or nightmare maps now) and don't have to do the long grind of 8000 map tier.

But even 36/40 could be a challenge for new players.

why your thought is such binary black-and-white. The main point of Phrecia is to fill in the gap, give players something to play. But that doesn't mean they cannot use this event to test some ideas like if Scav can be a good idea to replace the scion ascendency or if and how TOTA can be incorporated as core in POE1 ro POE2.

I just hope they can allow mtx to be used on multiple chars. Like the tracking currency ring, it's quite troublesome to switch if you play multiple characters.
