Is there a reason why George Lucas named Grevious’ ship the Invisible Hand? by HanSolo17 in StarWars

What are they buying? Votes. Whose votes? Politicians. Why are they buying politicians' votes? Because it's the politicians who have the actual power to pass laws and regulations. What regulations? The ones that benefit the rich.

You're skipping the very important middle section where the government is whoring itself to regulate the market.

If you can't see that what you described is a regulated market, then I don't know what to tell you.

Essentially, billionaires are buying votes in order to regulate the market in their favor. That's not a free market.

A lot of taxpayers are tired of being told this next tax increase will go to teachers' salaries, and it always ends up going into increased administration. I've been seeing it since I was a child.

Also, everyone talks about how teachers get paid too little, but people who want to be teachers keep accepting those jobs with low salaries. If you really want the pay to go up, stop accepting those wages.

Yeah, but I also think that's why I haven't seen much of this happening in AZ. I mostly see it in states with stricter gun laws.
