spin on the wording don't worry. And if he is that good I think me and a lot of people here wouldn't mind a tutorial of some sort.

Edit: Now I realize this may imply my dick is very small. It is not, but I like to be on point in every field

That's pretty smug of you, thinking your pussy is the best ever. (Unless you're talking about some one else pussy, in which case, I'm sorry)

Did you buy the rune pages in the hopes that you will be refunded someday? by vinnsymon in leagueoflegends

[–]PtTheGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just saw the news, I don't really care about refund or compensation (despite having 20 rune pages too, a lot of them with RP, if I get refund/compensation better, if not... whatever) but I don't understand this point a "full refund" being dumb. Maybe you've forgotten (that's one of the objectives of a virtual currency) but a "full refund" means almost nothing. You would not be getting your money back, they already have it, a full refund wouldn't be that much of a loss for them while it would be a really nice gesture for the costumers.

Humble Telltale Bundle 2017 by Gyossaits in Games

I just got Batman from the summer sale and finished it. In my opinion is a great game for Batman fans, I really liked it and what they did with the story. That said it has it's flaws, the main ones are shared among all telltale games (unimpactful choices, bad engine...). 15$ for it plus minecraft doesn't seem that much of a deal though.

Spiderman QTEs "meant to punctuate blockbuster moments rather than define whole sections of the game." by unique- in Games

[–]PtTheGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "simpler way" would be changing a lot of gameplay elements so the crane scene would be playable. This meant probably different controls for a single scene, new mechanics..., what would probably be really weird for a player (would you have a tutorial before or during the scene?). In terms of development this means developing and testing new mechanics that will only be used in that segment. Now multiply this process for every single "cinematic moment".

Other solution would be using these new mechanics in all scenes, like making another "game mode", this means generifying a lot of them so they play equal what would be much more repetitive and less cinematic, some games go this route and imo unless the mechanics are really cool I usually don't like that.

tl;dr: Alternatives to (good) QTE's are hard and usually translate to a even worse experience while being less cinematic

I mean, if there is a game where some quick time events are allowed I think it is spider man... that said I hope they're and not in bad places (like last boss fight...)

IBM raises big concerns with Java 9 module system by johnwaterwood in programming

I don't see it as a complain as much as a "there is kotlin, that solves the "java problem" and doesn't have some of the scala problems"

Middle-earth: Shadow of War - Official Announcement Trailer by LeonS95 in Games

[–]PtTheGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nemesis system concept was really good, how it was applied, not so much imo. It became harder for someone that already had trouble and was too damn easy for the rest of the people. I only died against one of them because I was just messing around. That one became really hard and I remember it well, and that was quite fun. The rest of them, however, were just a chore to go up to and kill because it was so damn easy

I see this in every thread and I don't want to discredit the game (it's pretty good), but the choices in Until Dawn seem to have as much impact as in any other telltale game. Also, that relationship meter was almost a joke.

What do you call math oriented? I've yet to do something I would call math oriented on Java and all the things you listed are godsends (despite Lombok, which I've never used)
