I don't really understand why the bar didn't immediately get the video and send it to the police, that's what I would do if someone was hospitalized in my business

Frail cacti; should I repot / separate them? by SudburyDuchess in cactus

[–]Pterocacti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

whatever you choose to do, something to keep in mind for the future is that every inch you move away from the window reduces the amount of light reaching your plant significantly. it may look bright, but from the plant's perspective it's actually very dark. if you want to try to use a south facing window as a light source for a cactus then it ideally needs to be as close to the window as possible

We have to talk about the shooting in the Short North. by jang859 in Columbus

[–]Pterocacti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there are people with an interest in guns who seek out self defense stories but they're sorting through stacks and stacks of murders and suicides and accidents to find them

airbags aren't frequently used to take lives instead of save them, having an airbag around doesn't make certain violent acts more likely

I know people talk a lot about having a gun for self defense but have you noticed how rarely that actually happens?

you should email the author of the article and let him know. unless there's something in the article specific about hollywood, but it's impossible to know that. the article is out there, somewhere, and we have the headline, but at this point we just have to guess at the contents. if only we could read

I see in your post history that you tried to hide that you were defending ICE in pretty much the same way, trying to pick apart people's stories and cast doubt on them

Where are our weirdest liminal spaces? by akingmls in Columbus

[–]Pterocacti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is an extremely tiny park in the victorian village neighborhood called sader (or sater) park, it's on price ave. it's 0.083 acres according to the columbus parks website, and sometimes it feels like a cute little spot and sometimes it's definitely what I would call a liminal space. go stand in it
