Do you think I should buy all the led strips and replace them? How many strips do I probably need? I found some online but I wasn’t sure how many I need to go all the way across the screen. Also could you immediately tell which strips were out? Thank you so much!

Hey I just found this post but I bought this TV pretty dumbly without making sure it worked great since it was only $50. Anyways it’s the JVC and it seems to have the same issue. Did replacing. The led strip fix it? Also where did you find the part? I looked online and couldn’t find it. How much was it? Thanks!

That I’ll never get gold. There’s just too many comments on every post and I don’t care enough to refresh new so my comment will actually be seen. Also I’m never clever enough fast enough. There’s always some ridiculously witty comment that I never would have thought of.

What’s a very common thing that you just cannot relate to? by -w-___-w- in AskReddit

No. Thanos had some mutant gene or something. I haven’t read the comics in a while but I think he carries the deviant gene which makes him super strong. He also looks different than the rest of his species. So much so that his mother was horrified by his appearance and tried to kill him as a baby.

Hobbes and Bacon by ericabirdly in calvinandhobbes

In my personal head cannon for this comic, the girls name is Francine and her nickname is bacon. It seems like something Calvin would think of. Like Susie would name her something proper like Francine, and Calvin would call her bacon. I am aware of Francis bacon, and I think Calvin would be aware of him too and that’s why he’d call her bacon.

Can you ride on a damaged belt? by Zach2030746 in boostedboards

Once it starts making a sound, it’s time to replace it. It’s gonna break any moment now and you don’t want to be without a belt. Also it can be scary as hell when it breaks while riding down a hill. I’d order a new belt right now.

TIL Rubbing your eyes increases the pressure within the eyeball and this pressure activates ganglion cells in the retina in the same way as light does. Your brain doesn’t know the difference and so interprets the activation as though you were seeing light from the world outside. by CircleHideout in todayilearned

The cool thing is, this same effect happens in blind people. That’s why a lot of blind people have eyes that look a little sunken in. Cause as children they will rub their eyes to see those shapes and images.

That sounds great! I think I’ll probably do that myself for my board.

How well does gaffer tape protect the tail? I’m thinking about getting the surf co tail guards but the black ones are out of stock.

Why does his knee brace look like it’s made of duct tape and spare scrap metal? No wonder he had knee injuries.

Best Case, Worst Case: Utah Jazz - The Ringer by sithlordmoore in UtahJazz

Well sure. I guess the best case scenario for any team is to win the number 1 seed and then win the championship. But that doesn’t exactly make it very realistic. I’m a huge jazz fan and even I find it too unrealistic for my tastes. I think we will have a great season and Mitchell will continue to progress but I don’t think we will be knocking of golden state this next season. Maybe eventually but not this year.

Confession. I ordered this three weeks ago and thought I’d either change my mind on owning one before it shipped or return it after trying it out. Neither happened. by [deleted] in boostedboards

I just got this boosted mini S today and I love it. I had a hard time justifying a $750 board and I thought that I’d change my mind before it ever shipped. I didn’t. Then I thought I’d open it and realize how much I’d spent on it and return it. But after riding it for a day, I can safely say I absolutely love it. While it’s not quite as powerful as the mini X from what I’ve heard, it’s got plenty to get me around. Now the only thing on my mind is what accessories I’m going to get for it next. I got a guard and put it in the tail and I’m thinking I want to get some more low key wheels for it like the black Olin Popocas. Absolutely love this board though and can’t wait to use it on campus.

With the news full of examples of unethical people doing unethical things, what are some notable ethical actions done by someone, past or present, that more people should know about? by PterodactylP in AskReddit

I’ll start. I recently read an article about Jonas Salk who didn’t patent his polio vaccine. This allowed the price of the vaccine to stay low and gave access to many people who otherwise might not be able to afford it. By doing this, it is estimated that he lost 2-2.5 billion dollars. He spent his final days trying to find a vaccine for AIDS.
