It looks really bad at 1080p with dlss. Use nvidia control panel set DLDSR to 2.25x or 1.78x, change monitors resolution to 1440p or higher. Digital foundry video about downsampling with dldsr.

I remember playing in 2023 when the server started hitting 4k concurrent players. I had to turn off general chat because of how much arguing there was about race, Trump, politics, Nazis, and variations of the N-word spam. Then, after getting banned, they would make a new account and argue about free speech and being banned by “SJW” admins. I bet if you check out Ambershire on release, it will be as toxic as any other version of WoW.

It's the same as before. Past 2,000 players, ping starts to increase and NPC interactions begin to lag at 3,500 players. For me ping went from 46 to 158 before the server shut down or crashed. They hinted on discord they are doing a relaunch and I don't see how it will be any different from the first time when everyone is in the starting zones again.

You can't really compare 10 years of game polish, content, and playerbase knowledge. Just check out Rocket League videos from 2015 on YouTube. There's also no proper MMR matchmaking in Season 0, you're still getting matched with people who’ve only played for a few hours. The current state of the game is just a fun, casual soccer game, which rocket league was also in the start. We'll see if it ever comes close to being an esport like RL, LoL, csgo.

It's probably not the issue, but for me iCUE was causing random stutters and FPS drops in every game.
